    This is all so interesting! Using the mesh and crochet hook to make it bigger and visible for learning is brilliant.

    The stitch is very close to traditional rug hooking with the bent crochet hook! I'm a hooker and I will try trambour. Thanks 😅

    I appreciate your guidance and tips. I’ve just started Tambour beading. My biggest challenge has been the sliding the heads up the thread. Your demonstration is the most helpful I have come across. Thank you

    My hook and organza is on its way! So excited to get started! I'm used to the native american method using one needle but I've been wanting to do larger things that would take forever with that method.

    Hi Kat! I'm so grateful for your videos, they are so detailed and helpful! Your work has definitely inspired me to lean this technique! Apologies if it was mentioned and I missed it but how do you decide how much thread to use and how many beads to load at a time when doing the luneville method?

    Luneville technique is perfectly suitable for frequent bead type switches... you just need to have it planned well beforehand, and string the beads in order. Ari technique, is superior for spontaneous beading.

    Why not flip the from-below technique, with your hand and string above the cloth? and needle below?

  • @Shedoesdiy
    @Shedoesdiy5 ай бұрын

    I definitely like the ease of the under stitching. That constant bead retireval seems tedious..... which says a LOT, consixering how daunting this whole process seems to be 😂

  • @Firecat0
    @Firecat07 күн бұрын

    I'm curious, is it not possible to do the first method, but with everything flipped so your tambour needle is living on the underside of the fabric and the strung beads are hanging out on top?

  • @joedolceland
    @joedolceland2 ай бұрын

    why you dont stitch the beads on top?

  • @linr8260
    @linr82609 ай бұрын

    Thank you for these informative videos! A theoretical question: if one needs to switch beads, would it not be possible to thread them in sequence ahead of time and then work from the bottom? Or is that too impractical?

  • @katmakes

    @katmakes

    9 ай бұрын

    Theoretically you totally could! Your count and the sequence would have to be perfect - a mistake would be tricky to fix, but I imagine it could work really well in certain situations if you were happy to spend the time individually stringing them!
