Wow, this was actually exactly what I needed.. thanks Gavin!
Mr. Gavin, great presentation; I've been using the older versions for more that 10 years and when, for the first time, I opened Pr 2024, I got lost in the woods until I found this informative video. Best Wishes Thank You

Gavin, outstanding video. I am new to all of this, and you made it look easy. Your calm way of explaining all of it and the pace was perfect. You should teach classes on this Premiere Pro 24. I would definitely take them as I would love to learn how to use this program correctly.

Thanks @Gavin, exactly what I needed today and I like the introduction to all the basic tools, including Keyframing. You are a polished speaker and obviously done this for a few years. Did you use keyframing on the video of you, shrinking, as if to say "I'm going to show you something underneath, so I need to make me smaller?"
@GavinHerman

Yup :) used keyframing there exactly for that reason!
Really helpful 😊

Really appreciate how direct and to the point your content is .. if you haven’t already could you do a video like this on after effects?
Thanks for the tutorial. I was intimidated because most reviews advise that the software has a steep learning curve. Think I’ll go ahead and try the 7day trial.

It can be tough at the start, and definitely needs more than 10 minutes to really dive in.. but hopefully this got you started :)
Hi, after I create a new project, I do not see the same windows that you do. The Workspace is "Editing". But I do not see the Project, nor can I add a new BIN. what am i missing?
Great job! Thank you. My preference would be if you showed your completed work after teaching it.

That's great and clear Tutorial. Thanks. What about if you upload 60 vids with different noise levels, can you drag all sounds and put like all in same DB?
@GavinHerman

No worries! Try this... Select your sequence: In the timeline panel, click on the sequence containing your videos. Open the Sequence menu: Go to the top menu bar and click "Sequence." Normalize Mix Track: Scroll down the menu and select "Normalize Mix Track." Set target level: In the pop-up window, enter the desired dB level for the entire mix (all audio tracks combined). -3 dB is a common starting point. Click OK: This will normalize all audio clips in the sequence to the chosen dB level relative to each other.
and with that, Subscribed.

Hmm, you might not be in the correct workspace? Or you might not have the projects panel open? Not sure though, would probably need to see it to know for sure
what would you use to record an voice over and how would you go about removing audio from the video you are editing . thanks
@GavinHerman
3 ай бұрын
You can record a voiceover directly in premiere pro if you want, but I usually use OBS. Removing audio you can right click on the track, then select unlink, then the audio will be separate from the video and you can delete it :) let me know if that helps

2:46 When I drag another clip to the first clip in the timeline, the video doesn't show and only the audio does. How do I fix this?

Nvm I figured it out. My V1 wasn't selected/highlighted in blue automatically for some reason so I just had to press it myself
Why 10 min? Why not 1?

Woah, I guess I hold immense power. Adobe should sponsor me.
I use Movavi, pros may laugh at it, but it does just about everything these advance editors do, but it's all drag and drop, transitions, and more... I just think too much energy is wasted with complexity .
@GavinHerman

Honestly I love that. Find what works for you and the projects that you work on. If you can achieve the quality you need with Movavi, power to you.

@@GavinHerman You are an elegant, lovely human being. You're focused, young and smart. One day, I aspire to be like you. But that aside, ye, Movavi is simply like a recreational alternative, they keep things simple...but not sure if movie standard...lol
@GavinHerman
Ай бұрын
@@FilmSchool-om3ew this might win best comment ever award, hahaha. Yeah I would assume Movavi isn't built for Hollywood. That being said, Premiere Pro can be quite faulty too and that's likely why Avid is still the movie standard. Reliability.
10 minutes, huh? You must be a genius. I know people been working on it for years and they’re still not an expert. But you’re so far beyond these people… It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Nobody can get good in premier in 10 minutes. It just is physically and mentally impossible. But keep using those Clickbait titles… I’m sure they’ll get you lots of followers.
@GavinHerman

Thanks for the compliment! I guess I just have a knack for condensing years of experience into 10 minutes... and I wouldn't say I'm 'so far beyond' anyone - just passionate about simplifying the learning curve.

@@GavinHerman This question is not easy to answer, but I will try)) You talk clearly, the video is dynamic, but not so fast that I can't keep up with you. I just started learning Premiere Pro, and my English is at a fairly low level. But despite this, everything is clear to me from your video. And the main thing is not a boring presentation of information. Just keep doing what you're doing! I don't know if I answered your question..)
Your instruction going so fast not suitable for beginners.
