Learning Korean is learning Korean culture. If you learn seemile Korean, you will understand Kpop lyrics without translation, and you will be able to watch Korean dramas and movies without subtitles. I understand and feel the songs of the Bulletproof Boys (BTS). Start learning with Korean with "seemile Korean".
The "seemile Team" also released app to learn Chinese (Mandarin).
→ "seemile Chinese" app android play.google.com/store/apps/de...
→ "seemile Chinese" iPhone(iPad) app itunes.apple.com/app/id135571...

Just looking through the comments I noticed a lot of people were talking about why and who they're learning korean for but so far I haven't seen a single comment about all the work this person had put into this video.(jenny) she looks like she put a lot and time and effort into this and I really appreciate it. I'm learning Korean as my third language and so far this is the most helpful video I have found so far and I really appreciate it.

“ㅔ=e" and "ㅐ=ɛ" are standard pronunciations, but the only Koreans who distinguish and pronounce them are announcers and senior citizens in their 60s or older. In modern times, the pronunciation of "ㅔ" and "ㅐ" is pronounced as "e̞" in painting. e̞ = ㅔ, ㅐ, え(japanese) Therefore, most Koreans cannot distinguish between "개(dog)=kʰe̞ and "게(crab)=kʰe̞" by sound. “ㅞ = we”, “ㅙ =wɛ”, “ㅚ = ø” are standard pronunciations, but “ㅞ, ㅙ, ㅚ = we̞”

The teacher is exceptionally good and the way she teaches makes you want to learn Korean not just speaking but understanding Korean culture as well.

This lady put a lots of efforts and is actually teaching from a start with scratch which is easy to understand as a layman. Thankyou girl. There are so many videos on internet who claimed they are teaching Korean language but trust me no one is near to her level. Her teaching style is damm good. Will recommend to watch her videos if you are actually serious for learning Korean. Thankyou thankyou for teaching this language which is easy to understand else i almost lost the hope of learning. Cheers to u teacher. Thankyou.

Some people seem to wonder what she's wriing for pronunciation in the "[]" brackets (one even commented that she's writing "random shit", how dare he). She's using IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), which is designed to describe all the different sounds of all languages (look it up on Wikipedia). For example IPA for English "up" is "[ʌp]", where "ʌ" is the same symbol Jenny wrote for theㅓ's sound. Knowing some IPA will help you understand this video better as well as anything concerning phonetics. She doesn't mention this probably because she has limited time and also because dectionaries in Korea, Japan, and many other countries use it to denote pronunciation so that people are already familiar with it.

Most dictionaries in english has this ipa too... I was wondering why she wrote 'ya' as 'ja' and 'eo' as '^'. Unlike in revised romanization, it actually makes it more confusing. lol

Dang Su Seine Well, I know many English speakers are not familiar with IPA as can be seen from comments on this page. Big name online dictionaries like Dictionary.com and Merriam-Webster.com for example use their own English-centric system instead of IPA. And romanization is just a crude approximation of the sounds designed for people who don't know (and don't want to learn) the language. For people seriously learning the language, there has to be a system to represent the phonetics accurately. IPA makes sense for this purpose because it is intended to cover all sounds in all languages, not just those found in English. Since Korean is not a English-derived language, it's bound to have many sounds that cannot be described using English (or even Romanic) symbols. IPA is big and difficult to learn, with all those unfamilar symbols, but there doesn't seem to be a better way at the moment.

So, ipa is actually a general form for all languages, right?

Dang Su Seine Yeah, they define all sounds of all languages, so it gets to be huge and use lots of uncommmon symbols :)
