Very nice version! Left hand sounds much more like Jerry Lee than most tutorials. Smooth and rolling all round. Thanks.

Excellent work. So many people screw this up. Either they play too fast, to slow, or they sing (horribly) over the notes. You nailed this!

Your hands are moving so independently of each other. An art that you have perfected!

Wow! I think your rendition is probably the most accurate I've heard as it captures so many of the nuances that can be difficult to hear in the original recording. Thanks for sharing!

Paddy I feel this the best and most accurate interpretation I’ve heard so far. I’d like to buy the sheet music on PDF if you have it available as it’s quicker for me to sight read rather than taking the time to memorise your video. Many thanks!

Sounds right. Plus you have captured the spirit in which it was played.

Never cared for this song due to the vocals, you brought out the beauty of the instrumentation, with your improv it's amazing.

David J Thanks! Not much improv here though as was demonstrating as faithfully as possible what Jerry Lee played on his original recording. Hence the concentration at remembering it and reading some notes! Cheers!

Paddy - I love this and I'm going to buy the course. Have you ever heard Jerry Lee's solo 1958 performance of Johnny B. Goode? It's from his Sun years and it's absolutely amazing. If you haven't you should find it.

Very accurate but incomplete - otherwise I would've given a thumbs up. The best part by far is after he sets the piano on fire. The movie version ending is also better than the soundtrack version.

@@NoOne-kr4jc it's not a performance of the song in the usual sense, it's a dedicated attempt to figure out Jerry's piano part exactly and to play nothing but that (no vocals or vocal melody). And like with the herbs and spices, it's pretty hard to duplicate The Killer's sound.

Are you looking at a metronome on top of the piano?

Howard Price haha, no, I was looking at the notes I’d made so I could play Jerry Lee’s actual piano part as closely as possible. If I was just playing freely I wouldn’t have been concentrating quite as much! Cheers.
