Thank you so much! I love how slow and repetitive it is. I love that the English word is directly under each part of the word. As an African American who just learned I'm Igbo, I'm looking forward to learning Igbo before coming to Nigeria 🇳🇬 🙂

Its all to do with the sound. But first of all, you need to recognise the letters of the alphabet - before you know the sound each one makes. Ọ sounds like the O in octopus, and O in Igbo sounds like O in old. The more you learn the vocabulary and how to sound out the words, the more you know where the ọ and the o should go.

Thank you for this gonna write down the questions and practice answer them. But when you say she is exercising it sounds like you are saying she is hurting herself? Are they both the same words but with different meanings.

The first part of the spellings look somewhat similar - ịmegharị ahụ is exercise / move the body , but ịmerụ ahụ is to hurt oneself/ hurt somebody.

I am from Ezeagu in Enugu State, My mother is from Mbaise in Imo State and my Husband is from Nnewi, Anambra State.. I mainly use Igbo Izugbe to teach - which is the formal version used in education and broadcasting - just like you have Queen's English as the main dialect for formal use in English language .

Onye na-agba oso sounds easier for people to read it as Onyé naab oso. I think many languages need ornithological reform. I see it in many languages, makes it very confusing as learners and speakers. Just unnecessary.
