You can say 'szeretlek' as 'I love you' to your husband, child. To your workmate who is fun to be with, you say ' kedvellek' I like you. Imàdlak is very intense , like I adore you . I often say to my daughter Imàdlak! Ùgy imàdlak ! The words are like climbing up on a lader. Kedvellek, szeretlek , imàdlak. Hmm this will be my next wideò :)

I know you are doing the best you can and most people enjoy this lesson, but I prefer to hear it spoken a little bit slower than you speak it. My mom was born in Hungary and she spoke the Language fluently. She just spoke it a little slower than you do, so I prefer it like that. Maybe you could make the same video, but speak slower in case a student prefers to listen to the slower version. I know we can slow down this video, but it doesn't sound good like that. Thanks.

Magyar speaks very fast. You speaking slow helps people understand. You speak well. Are you Japanese? I know Japanese is similar to Magyar and easier to learn. Magyar trills the "r" s. I still won't say szia!!! I am old school Magyar.

I am trying to learn Hungarian. I understand more than I can speak. But I get very embarrassed to try and speak it any tips for getting over the embarrassment? My fiancé is Hungarian. And I would like to be able to talk to his family. His gran especially.

  • @europeanconfidence32

It sounds like lack of confidence and experience with the language. Practice it at home with your fiance, he should help you especially since you want to talk with his gran. And don't be embarrassed with pronounciation or accent no one can expect you to sound like a native speaker, people will only be impressed if you try.

I feel like the phrases you teach beginners could perhaps reflect the level of skill of these beginners. Phrases stating how well you speak and in a short time, etc., are not particularly useful because you're going to be able to produce those sentences and pronunciations yourself. Appropriate phrases for the appropriate levels, please!
