Learn How to Draw and Paint DEER IN WINTER - Paint and Sip at Home - Fun Beginner Acrylic Lesson
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION - Looking for an easy winter painting idea? Want to do a fun seasonal DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a white-tailed deer in a winter forest-a beautiful animal and scenery painting “DEER IN WINTER” with acrylic paint. I live in the middle of the woods on top of a mountain, and, although I don’t have any close neighbors, I do get a lot of frequent visitors, not from friends or family, but rather from the local wildlife. My trail cameras are busy taking video of bears, foxes, coyotes, racoons, skunks, squirrels, moose, groundhogs and chipmunks, meandering around my yard, most often trying to find a way to get into the garbage in my garage. Ducks, frogs, turtles, cranes and wild turkeys enjoy making my pond their own little oasis, the birds seem grateful for the dozen bird feeders I have hanging off my back porch, and so many deer, bucks, fawn, cervine, and doe, enjoy grazing on my berry bushes and fruit trees just out my kitchen window. Being alone in the woods is never lonely for sure with this many critters roaming around! What amazes me the most about deer is how their coat changes color with the seasons. In the summer, the deer’s coats appear reddish and are thin, allowing the deer to better cope with the high heat. In the fall, the deer eat every day and begin to bulk up and stock up on fat stores for the winter and they grow a ticker and darker grey and brown coat which helps them to absorb more of the sun's heat to warm themselves even more and blend into the autumn or winter forest. So, for all you nature lovers, come join me and paint this beautiful buck in a wintery pine forest. In the first step to this acrylic art lesson, you’ll learn how to paint a sky and land using soft gray colors in order to capture the majestic beauty of the winter season. Then you’ll learn how to paint snow on the ground using a simple blending technique. Then you’ll paint evergreen pine trees in two easy steps; first by using a base coat of black to create triangle silhouette and second, by adding gray and white to create an illusion of snow on the branches. After learning how to draw a deer using a simple dot-to-dot drawing method, you’ll apply a simple base coat of brown to work off of. Next, you’ll add highlights and shadows to the antlers to create form and dimension, followed by learning how to paint facial features on a deer, including, the eye, nose, mouth and ears. Then you’ll paint fur by layering colors to create texture. The art lesson is so easy to follow, you’ll feel like it’s a paint by numbers. Using only 2 brushes and 5 colors, you’ll paint like a professional and create the best winter animal portrait! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun, as a fun hobby, or for art therapy. It's an easy art project for anyone. I hope you enjoy watching this KZread art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!

So amazing
Stunning winter scenery
Michelle antlers ARE made of bone, like the parts of any animal skeleton. All antlered animals have a velvet phase when the immature antlers are covered with fine hair. The velvet phase facilitates the growth of the antlers by providing a blood supply to the growing bone. The velvet, a thin soft layer of skin and blood vessels that gets scraped off over time. Later in the year those antlers are making room for a new set to grow in. I hope this help you out? They are white tail deer. I use to deer hunt years ago.

@@michellethepainter. I'm so glad it did!! Most people don't realize that the antlers are made of bone. I didn't for a long time until I married my husband (the one who passed away). He knew everything about deer, he was an avid hunter. But he schooled me in all things about them. So I'm glad that it helped.

Wow, I love this background!. And thank you so much for explaining how to get warm vs. cool greys and how to use them. I'm thinkin' I might paint this for my hubby for XMas as he feeds about 20 deer at our house daily, and one is a gorgeous buck! I love and watch you faithfully and I'm a patron. I've paid over $30 per painting class for years, and you give us so much more for a few bucks a month. Thanks Michelle, and keep going :)

Tonight, I viewed some of your website and am encouraged again about how your cancer journey led you to this incredible venture you are currently on. Thank you for what you do helping others. Your trees when I saw you were using a large brush, I thought loudly, “How will you be able to see any detail using a large brush!!! No way she made those with a large brush!!” Well I was absolutely in awe of how masterfully you used the Large Brush so eloquently to add details to the trees and show branches in different directions with highlights of the snow!! That is why I am watching you and no one is watching me😁! You are truly great!! Thank you for teaching us!

Thank you soooooo much. I will be following and watching again :)

Loved this deer lesson! Your technique gave me the confidence to do a deer without a tracing. I did a small canvas 5x7 with less trees, as I figured it would be a teaching assignment, not ever to display. I did need to use a liner brush on my tiny picture. You tell so many tricks like more snow helps your eye go toward the light. I was surprised how proud I am of this painting that is on a shelf! Thank you so much for your teachings. (I will say my deer head was a somehow a fox head at first, but I adjusted under the chin and that somehow fixed it)
