does the hat need to be a little stiff? because i bought a bowler hat but its easily bent when i try to do any trick

Nice work Bri! Indeed it lacks a bit of common terminology and tutorials for hat tricks. Although there was already the great tutorial video on hat manipulation for sale via : sites.fastspring.com/richardloxley/product/trickswithhatsvideo . They have developed already quite some terminology. For examples besides all the rolls (where the hat rolls on the side of the top, like the arm rolls, arm-to-arm roll, chest roll ...) they define the tumbles as a different category. What you call at 1:45 a arm roll to the head they describe as an arm tumble because the hat doesn't really roll (like a ball) but tumbles more over the top side, to the side with the hole and so on. And for the grip he (and I as well) use the terms inside and outside grip. But again, good work and good luck for the contest !
