This video is all about the 20 most important adjectives in the German language, their declension and intensification on the German levels A1 and A2. Increasing adjectives is explained in an easy and understandable way. With these adjectives you can simply express yourself better in German and describe things and actions better.
The increase of adjectives is needed when you want to compare something. The adjective has a base form (positive), a first intensification (comparative) and the highest intensification (superlative). The comparative is formed by adding the suffix -er to the adjective. It compares two persons or things and shows the difference. Example: "A Porsche is more expensive than a Tesla."
The superlative is formed by adding the suffix -ste(n) to the adjective. Example: "Learning German is the most difficult."
The superlative compares at least three or more or a totality of persons or things. Of these, it denotes the "highest" level.

schön - schöner - am schönsten
hässlich - hässlicher - am hässlichsten
einfach - einfacher - am einfachsten
schwierig - schwieriger - am schwierigsten
laut - lauter - am lautesten
leise - leiser - am leisesten
gesund - gesünder - am gesündesten
krank - kränker - am kränksten
sauber - sauberer - am saubersten
schmutzig - schmutziger - am schmutzigsten
Adjective declension is without question one of the most difficult topics on your way to learning German. However, if you want to speak German well or even perfectly, you absolutely must master this topic, adjective declension.
Adjective declension easily explained: when an adjective comes before a noun, we have to decline it. This means it gets an ending. If an adjective stands after the noun, then it gets no ending.
It gets interesting, because depending on the case in which the noun stands and whether it is preceded by a zero article, a definite article or an indefinite article, this adjective ending changes. In German, there are four cases - nominative, genitive, dative, and accusative. The case of the noun determines how the adjective is changed. You also need to know the gender of nouns. In German, there are three genders - masculine (male), feminine (female), and neutral (objective). The gender of the noun affects the form of the accompanying adjective. The numerus of the noun (singular or plural) also affects the form of the accompanying adjective.
