Cannot thank you enough. You get it. It’s not about grammar or sentence structure, it’s about listening to the way French is spoken until you begin to “hear” what sounds right. That’s how we all learned our native language when we were children, and how we can learn another language now. Watching these, I’m now able to simply watch and listen (and understand) much of what you are saying without reading the French subtitles, or only glancing occassionally at them, and almost never reading the English subtitles, unless you use a word in French I do not yet know. I feel like Your KZread channel alone has put my French learning curve into overdrive. Gonna be in Sarlat la Canada for couple months this fall and feel like it’s really gonna be fun to understand what people are saying and be able to make the occassional foray into speaking French. This is the only French channel which truly has a slow enough recitation to allow my ear to catch words and phrases. And then at normal speed I can still usually catch these same words and phrases. I listen to each one multiple times. Thank you again.

Salut, Michael! Strasbourg est bien joli. Je voudrais remercier Lucas et toi pour cette vidéo. Quand j'avais quatre ans, j'ai essayé l'alcool pour la première fois sans faire exprès. Mes parents mettait d'alcool dans une bouteille plastique, et j'en buvais en pensant il était de l'eau. Je l'ai craché immédiatement parce que il était très amer. J'avais l'habitude de boire beaucoup d'alcool quand j'étais en université. De nos jours, je le bois jamais pour la même raison que tu as mentionné: il me rendre fatigué. Il semble que le type d'alcool le plus populaire dans l'etas unis, c'est la bière. Ça ne me surprend pas. J'espère que tu passes une bonne semaine. À bientôt!

Comme tu as dit pour buvait un peu quand tu etait petit avec ton grand-pere, maintenent tu n'as pas problem avec l'alcol et tu as une vie Saint. Je ne bois pas beaucoup . J'aime les sports. Your videos are excellent the enunciation and the speed are perfect to allow me to understand. I usually just close my eyes and listen then repeat whilst watching the video. I also love when you are travelling to different regions of France. Please do more regional culture and history

Everything is perfect. Just one thing, Once i start the video I cannot see the french subtitles properly because there comes the play, pause and duration tab which makes me unable to pause the video and take the notes. Rest everyhting you are the best. Thank you!

If i understood correctly. When you pause the video, you want to remove the pause the duration etc, from the screen. I can do that in the youtube app just touch gently the screen. But in a tv or computer i don't know

I can understand the words which is great but i do struggle to keep up with the speed at certain points. I've just started listening to french speakers recently and ive got a long way to go. If someone is fine with this speed. Can someone tell me how long they've been learning for?

Speaking about wine. I remember funny momemt in my family on first week after we immigrated to Canada. We had a small birthday party with Canadian family. I had couple of drinks. And my son noticed: Mother ! Your English sounds much better after second drink. 😅

I find it better because I’m able to listen to the French, read the French, and I have the opportunity to comprehend; then I can go back and read the English if I’m not sure of a word.

​@@mishamc93 Well am a beginner beginner, what I used to to was pause, block the top side with my fingers, try and translate what they are saying first, then read and hear the actual thing. That technique with this format hurts my eyes because of the constant back and forth.

Just because something is done one way it doesn’t make it the best way for everyone, nor does something always done mean something to always be done.. I am a beginner too, we all learn differently.
