A brief lesson on data collection methods. After completing this video, you will be able to explain what data collection is data collection methods and the types of data you have defined in the problem statement in the previous section.
The next step is to collect the data to help solve the defined problem. Data collection is a systematic approach to gathering relevant information from various sources.
Depending on the problem statement, the data collection method is broadly classified into two categories. When you have a unique problem and no related research is done on the subject. Then, you need to collect new data. This method is called primary data collection.

what about probability and non-probability data. Is it coming under Sampling method?

Hello Fazian. Here, we collected sample data ( Player name, age, club, height, weight, foot, and joined data) which will be used to predict the winning club of the next premier league. If probability and non-probability data are relevant to the problem statement, they can be used in the sample data.

How the organize data

Hi Joy, thank you for your comment. Organizing data depends on the problem you are trying to solve. The end data should be in the form that it can be analysed and utilised to answer your problem statement. To do that, you need first to get the raw data. On the raw data, perform the exploratory data analysis, which helps you find the missing values, outliers, duplicate values and other inconsistencies in data. Then, use the data cleaning techniques to make the data suitable for further analysis. Thanks for your comment. There are various ways to conduct a survey - door to door questionnaires, telephone connects, online form filling, etc. So yes, such types of jobs do exist but you will have to check your local job classifieds or job portals. Our course deals with the analysis of this data and thus we cannot comment on the types of jobs related to the collection of the same.
