Nice video and thank you. And well presented. Am I right in thinking when you say ‘Celtic fiddle’, you are talking about Irish music only and not the other Celtic countries such as Wales or Scotland or Brittany etc or is the technique the same? Although Breton music I understand sounds very different anyway.

I have only ever held a violin. The notation looks rather complicated. I'm not sure I can do this. Don't celtic fiddle players learn by ear?

I don't know of any musical style where the musicians aren't allowed to learn by reading musical notation. I'm sure a lot of Celtic musicians can read music.
