    Excellent stuff. Ray Brown principles covered: 1. Walk up chromatically to the target note from a minor third below (starting on beat 2 the measure before). 2. Enclosure: Approach the target from a half step below, scale tone above, then the target. 3. Repeat a note.

    This helped my playing tremendously i immediately understood minor third down walk up chromatically plus I grew up in church and had heard this all my life. Obvious, now it’s in my arsenal and my ears (thx you 🙏🏽)

    Was bass player once in a non professional band now learning playing piano to me is fantastic this lesson !!!! I am wondering if all basse lines can be played in piano ..

    Looking to upgrade to a weighted keyboard, do you think 73 keys is enough for most jazz? I’m considering a 73 like the p-121 because it would fit much easier in my backseat

    Why (at 20:00ish) are you playing a B natural bass note against a C7 which contains a Bb?
