I don't think I've ever heard a song so perfectly mixed in my life. My god. Every instrument operates exactly its own space in the mix, as clear as if you could see them lined up in front of you on a stage, separate but together. Oh wow.
When you're literally in a glass case of emotion Sounds great

Bravo to the cameraman and editor of the video. Rarely can you see such properly shown musician moments. Every accent, every tasty part of the song on each instrument has been shown just at the moment when it is being played. Real respect.
Silky, Smokey vocals over a flawless groove. Truly, this is on par with Basie, Horne... Also, very smart pre packaging the band in shipping containers. Just finish the song, slap on a shipping label and off to the next gig!

@Usul

@@NorthernKitty, Caleb is a fantastic songwriter himself. He used to have a Patreon page with tons of songs. Sadly, it has been removed. I wish he'd make his catalog available. People who appreciate music value the skill these musicians bring to their work. Cory Wong, Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets, Pomplamoose (Jack & Nat), KNOWER (Louis Cole, Genevieve Artadi), Ryan Lerman, Cody Fry, Kenton Chen... and so on. The list of top-tier musicians these folks have worked with, and cross pollinated, has been an amazing part of the story. Not many are following how connected these people are. What the internet desperately needs: A Sam Wilkes vs. Joe Dart funky neck bass-off. Then have juliaplaysgroove cover, with davie504 memeing the entire thing.

But my question; what about audio quality? I'm using KZread Music; what do you use? Are you streaming at 44.1 or higher (Qobuz, Tidal, Roon, Rasberry Pi, etc.?) or happy with 256/320 mp3's? Thanks!

I’m thrown back to the mid 80s. This feels and sounds like smooth jazz with a sprinkling of The Cowboy Junkies. I do like you’re cover and arrangement. Until recently I had no idea how young she is. She shows a sense of confidence and command of herself and performance that belies her age. She impressive.
So glad they let Elise out of her box to sing. Of all Scary Pockets' vocal collaborators, her liquid velvet voice shines at the next level, enhanced her profound musicality and instrumental talent. They must love in when she walks in the door and makes everything better.
I am FEELING those Team Zissou hats.
