My escooter has hydrolic brakes and for days I been trying to to diagnose my spongy brakes. And tonight I see in the dame spot as you a tiny bit of fluid is leaking. Thanks for sharing this video 👍👍👍

@Marcus Ilberg can I ask you a question? I took apart my brakes and the rubber oring is in good condition but it was a little loose where it sits. Would that matter?

@@ianrice1778 If it loose enough to let a drop oil through, then maybe so yes.

@Marcus Ilberg I'd say it's loose enough to let the oil threw cuz its a very small amount. I'm going to order a kit of orings like you have off of Amazon. Thank you so very very much!!!

Thanks to you I was able to fix the leak on my brakes with that rubber oring but I didn't fix the issue. For some reason when I burp the brakes sir bubbles do not stop coming up noon stop. Do you know what that would mean? Also inside the brake on the lever it looks like a Is minut amount of fluid coming from the piston. I never crashed the thing I noticed it after it sitting all winter I was getting it ready for spring. Odd how it can break like this just from sitting in my living room. Anyway hope I'm not annoying with all this. I know us mtb like to help each other out.

One note: if doing this on DOT fluid brakes (not mineral oil like your Shimano) you need to use specific o-rings designed to work with DOT, which is highly corrosive and will damage regular rubber. Just FYI!

Did you have to drain or bleed the brakes at any point?

Shimano m615 Brake caliper piston popped out. How do I get it back in? :

Lubricate with mineral oil (or red rubber assembly grease) and just push it back in. Make sure to line it up nice and straight so it goes in smoothly, don't force.
