Leaf Soaked in Stagnant Water

I had put this houseplant leaf in my stagnant water pool to test the effects. After at least 2 weeks, little damage has been done to the leaf. Except for some small marks, the leaf cells seem more or less intact. I saw nothing living in the water near the leaf.
