Professor Anthony David trained in neurology before entering psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital in London. He was the Vice Dean for Academic Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) from 2013 to 2018. In 2018, Professor David joined University College London (UCL) as the Director of the Institute of Mental Health.
He has a wide and diverse range of research interests, including schizophrenia, neuropsychiatry, medically unexplained syndromes, and neuroimaging.

    Hey i listen on spotify earlier and seem to recall tony referring to someone who he had read who was on influence on him, not RD laing it was another person referred to. Been trying to go back and find it to no avail. If you what im referring to and could shed some light id be grateful. Love the podcast by the way.

    Very interesting conversation, thankyou..but I felt there was a lateralization shaped hole in it! When having discussion with neuropsychiatrist about cases, one with lateralised head injury, it begs addressing in some manner Iain McGilchrists thesis, feels to big to ignore it at the same time as being rigorous with up to date insights.
