Leading Thirsty Bunnies to Water on Japan's Rabbit Island!

This is episode 16 of the Rabbit Island Web Series! In the summer months, fresh water is scarce for the bunnies on Rabbit Island. There are a number of water pans throughout the island, and in this video some thirsty bunnies are led to one of the pans, which is then filled with fresh bottled water. Watch the bunnies get led to water, and then drink!
Japan's Rabbit Island, known as Ōkunoshima (大久野島), is a small island located in the Inland Sea of Japan in the city of Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is often called Usagi Jima (ウサギ島, "Rabbit Island") because of the numerous feral rabbits that roam the island; they are rather tame and will approach humans.

If you guys ever contact the Government of Japan, and get a kick starter going to become caretakers of the bunnies at Rabbit Island, I will support it.

rabbits do not need water like that, they get it from the plants they eat, but on this island, most of the bunneis depend on humans for pellets

It is interesting to see how the hare habitus returns in natural selection. Bunnies are rolling back their breeding selection.

They do sell cabbage and pellets but cabbage is a horrible source of protein for the rabbits and the pellets have absolutely no nutritional value

+Bunnies Rule I think you are allowed to take them home, because there are so many and the bunnies reproduce really fast. if they aren't taken by tourists or die there wouldn't be a blank space without bunnies.

do the bunnies die there ? are they all hungry till the tourists arive ? if any tourist does not come to see or feed the bunnies then ? will they die there? they will not have anything to eat ? not have any thing to drink ? if like this then all the bunnies will die there ....................

I'm sure they have caretakers. The bunnies have been there for generations after World War II . So I'm sure they have other sources. Plus they're very diversified so even if some get sick they won't get wiped out. It's just now that they've gotten so used to people, it'd be difficult to relocate them.
