Leadership | Deep Integrity

"The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office." Dwight D. Eisenhower.
The most influential leaders I know are those who have integrated their inner and outer lives so that they reflect one another. There is no dichotomy between who that leader is and how they behave. This integration is a lifelong pursuit that is developed slowly and lost suddenly - and so we have to be tenacious. When our motivations and thoughts, and thoughts and statements, and statements and actions match, we have integrity (integration). Here are two levels of integrity. First - integrity between our words and action. Second - integrity between our motives with our thought, words, and actions. The former can quickly identify with hypocrisy. The later represents real integrity and secret level of hypocrisy that only you know and this is real integrity.
