This is a new Cyr Wheel number I created for a Gig in New York in January 2016. I was inspired to create a piece that suits a small and intimate stage. A fun and playful act for a performance in a personal setting. In this KZread video, I combine dance and movement with Cyr Wheel technique.

What is it about Lea Toran Jenner that so appeals to me? Her grace? Her athleticism? Her altogether wholesomeness! She's concentrating on her art and Cyr wheel technique, not on showing herself off. In short, she's a girlfriend! Have to add - she looks so happy when she's performing. It's as if it's the greatest joy to her.

What a beautiful art form of dance! I've never seen this before. She has grace and elegance - and superb balance. Lovely performance, and pleasant, unobtrusive music.
That's it! I've gotta learn cyr wheel. As a dancer this totally captured me. Really truly dancing with an amazing captivating prop. I may be 26 but I'm going to go for my circus dream. Thanks for the inspiration Lea!

@@SEUnlimited4444 Yes I did :) Training is more or less on hold with covid, but I got a cyr wheel shortly after getting inspired by this video! I never saw your reply as I don't use that youtube account anymore, but I came back to watch this again and saw your comment.

Between COVID and having my third baby I’ve been on a hiatus but ready to get back into it☺️ I’ll be 30 this month, so don’t you “oldies” out there give up!

so lovely! I appreciate that this truly tells a story and isn't just a bunch of cyr tricks stacked on top of each other (which is impressive in its own right, but gets old when that's all you ever seem to see!)

It is a sport / artform that you can pick up at any level of streng and flexibility, you will become better with time :) just gve it a try

beautiful! i wonder why everybody spin in the same direction? is it easier? can you spin in opposite direction too?

Spinning towards the heart is always right spin. Even our cells spin that way when one is in right spin.

Usually people naturally spin in one direction or the other... me it's the left :) most people, I would say 2/3 spin to the left, and the others spin to the right. There is no easier direction... and usually people can only spin in one and not both directions ;)

@@LeaToranJenner thank you! you know it's interesting that i can not find any videos of artists who spin in the other direction. maybe there's more in it. physics, genetics, epigenetics even!? who knows... i would like to see you try to spin in other direction after all this time of practicing..

I feel that i want to start to do this beautiful acrobatic exercises by the cyr wheel But i don't know what is better to make one by my self and start to training and after that buy one more good. 2.
