Okay so this may be a unpopular opinion BUT while it exciting that you are there to see a great performance of a play, it is NOT a concert. Crowd etiquette has gone to hell. The whooping and hollering is only drowning out the performance for YOUR satisfaction and ruins the other theater patrons experience.

She may not be able to read, but oh she can sing

The quality of this bootleg is a work of art within itself.

This has been going on for the last few years. Screaming , singing along , burst of applause in the middle of the number. They should let perform and the audience hear and saving everything at the end of the show

I love how she is shorter than everyone else onstage

Is this a thing now? We have to suffer through these kids and fanatics whooping and hollering through every single note?

Now I understand how annoying it is when people scream all the time during a performance. There should be a a campaign on Broadway telling people to applause at the end of the number.

The best video of this number yet. During Lea's first week the show did over 1.6 million dollars in box office. It is doing around a million a week or more now, a far cry from what it had dropped to pre-Lea. One still has to wonder what the producers and artistic team were thinking about when Beanie was cast in the role. No knock on her because she's a wonderful actress but it was obvious, even in some of the rehearsal videos, that she didn't have the vocal chops to carry Jule Styne's score, one of the most difficult ever written for a Broadway show.

I think it was the Washington Post review that wrote that Lea Michele just didn't bring the house down, she brought the whole block down. Unquestionably the best choice for Funny Girl. I have to get this this show at this time. Undoubtedly an historic event.

her vocal resonation is one of the best ever.. its effortlest, rounded and clear

Lea is the kind of vocal powerhouse required for this role. Not to knock supporting cast but Funny Girl is really a one woman show and if that person isn’t exceptional vocally and charismatically it isn’t going to work. These are songs that someone must have the vocal ability to belt.

what do people not know about saving cheering and applause for the end of the performance? they completely drowned her out 😭

I just saw it over the weekend. I am a huge fan of Streisand but Lea's performance didn't leave me missing anything about Barbra's original. What an amazing talent, the voice, the comedic timing and the depth of feeling. Fabulous.

So far from "Glee" ! She made the song her own and did an amazing job ! She really matured as a performer.

She has saved this show.

I know the comparisons to Streisand are pretty obvious, but I see a lot of Judy Garland in her performance. But, she's also fully made this her own, and she's spectacular!!

My daughter saw this yesterday. It was her dream to see Lea Michele sing live. As a disabled person, this made my heart happy to see what she could see and hear the incredible voice. Thank you 🙏🏻
