I've been performing in concerts and music festivals like this for so many years and I can totally understand, imagine and feel what they're probably experiencing up on that stage, especially the technical ones, plus the fact that they were performing with an actual live band (a killer of a band, I might say), plus the cheers/screams coming from the audience, plus it being a big tent/outdoor event, it can definitely drown out the audio coming from their in-ears and it will also affect how you deliver out your voice. (unless you have heavy backtrack playing alongside you so you can easily put yourself back on the normal volume release and tone of your voice) And they're not even tone-deaf. Yes, there's some minor slip-ups in some notes but that's expected in these kinds of events, and that's okay and makes it natural, very human and raw as well, but still not to the point of being called tone-deaf or off-key. (which a lot of these haters and non-fans keep misusing, which totally frustrates me as a musician and singer) And again, the hype-singing, for the people who are NOT-well-versed in music performances especially in music festivals and outdoor concerts with this "shouting/screaming" that these girls were doing (as these "critics" have been saying), it's a stylistic approach in music in live concerts, hyping people up and changing the way you sing from the original way. Or sometimes, you do the second voice instead of the original. It's pretty normal, especially in music festivals like this where you hype up the crowd and interact and entertain the audience. Also, another reason is what I mentioned earlier, due to the loud noise left and right (outside noise), front and back (audience and the live full band), that drowns out your perception of your own voice's volume that it affects your modulation. Plus, Coachella is mostly a party vibe where you can dance or just sit or lie down and drink, etc, and not a "concert" like the usual in domes, etc. Sadly, today's generation (and mostly those that are just exposed in Kpop music programs only) wants performers to sound exactly like the CDs. (which makes it boring, imo) And the group was singing live and raw, only using very minimal backtrack as support to add extra voices and music and guide for their timings. And they're dancing with heavy choreography. The sad (and maybe funny) thing as well is that most of the people giving "constructive criticism" don't know anything about music at all. They're only listeners, but suddenly they've become "voice experts" or "Music Festival 101 masters", while lying down on a couch scrolling their phones and doing nothing or other stupid things and wasting their lives. They actually don't know the long, hard work and practice that go behind every little piece of music that artists put out, especially live. Those people just have demented minds, enjoying that feeling of criticizing others and sending hate, their kind of way of escape from their own miserable lives. And let's not forget the hive/herd mentality of these people, especially the ones sending hate to artists or any other person. Anyway, I actually applaud Le Sserafim for doing what they did. They really applied what an actual real, raw, live performance should be like and with a band that are actually, actually playing live that aren't done much in Kpop nowadays that have depended too much on backtracks (And no, I didn't say all of Kpop, before you all get triggered.) add to the fact that they were dancing all throughout for almost an hour, and in that LA heat and strong winds. You're either ignorant about music or in actually playing live music among a big crowd of people or just straight-up hater if you can't see those big merits that they have done in their performance. Or you're simply just toxic. Lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, everyone in the venue actually enjoyed their performance and have been saying praises to the group, whether if they're a fan or not. Even the real critics, music journalists and actual musicians have praised them in their Coachella performance. The performance is for the Coachella live audience, the group adapted their performance for the event, and the group definitely, definitely delivered!! I can see Le Sserafim getting a lot BIGGER and BETTER after this, moving forward. The irony is, amidst all these hate, Le Sserafim gained tons of new fans! But the bigger you become, the hate will also add up. Why? Because more people will get to know you, whether they like you or not. More publicity. More chances that new people will discover them and their music, their art, and will actually appreciate them. And that's where we should focus on, instead of the haters or even non-fans or even those that have "left" the fandom. (Why are even non-fans bothering and trying to include themselves in this when they're not even, well, fans?) Just continue on working hard on your craft, improving and focusing on your own growth. It's better to see their journey as they continue to improve, becoming much better, especially in vocals. Performance-wise and stage presence and the fun they bring in their performances, they already excel in it. If they are already perfect, then that would be totally boring. The girls are definitely working hard and improving and improving and trying out many things, especially outside the norm of Kpop. While those haters giving "constructive criticism" and "voice experts" and forcing and harassing others to accept their opinions as the only correct one are just lying down, wasting their rotten life, and even if they do have a job or business or whatever, it just means that they're not happy in their life. Because if you are, then you definitely don't have time to bother wasting your own time hating these hardworking, talented and successful girls and is mature enough that you'd rather just focus on being successful in your own life and being happy (by that, I mean the right way. Coz if hating them is your way of being happy, then there's definitely something wrong with you). And if you get triggered and angered by this statement and sends more hate to them and to others, especially those that appreciate them and actually enjoyed their performance, then it says a lot more about your personality, attitude and immature, obsessive mindset. Shame on you. And as for new people curious about the issue, just use your own judgment with an open mind and w/o being hateful, while also considering the venue and the event itself, the whole context, and not be affected by all the haters backed by troll farms just to make these girls look bad while these toxic people are promoting their own favorite groups under the hate train. I mean, it's not helping their groups at all. It would just spread more hate. Anyway, YOU DID GREAT, LE SSERAFIM!! Keep the fire burning! I'm excited to see Le Sserafim continue to rise even higher in the future! And if you're a fan, keep on supporting them. That's what they need right now. (and to the people who have reading comprehension problems who would say you're babying them. No. I said, support the girls.)

I'm not a K-pop fan, but they seem incredibly cool. They have amazing vibes and passion. I listen to various types of music, but many artists, no matter how skilled they are, often lack the vibes and passion needed to really energize a festival crowd. They've undoubtedly got that.

I went there with one of my friends a fearnot and to tell you their vocal is fine, they hit the highest notes and it understandable when voice is shaking because they are dancing. I think they are so cool, that I have watched their MV at home. Anyway, me and my friends went wild there. Their performance is just amazing. I don't understand why the hate though, people there had fun and that's what matters. Some are just online haters.

I am Korean. There's a little behind-the-scenes story. Just before Coachella's performance, Eun-chae's playful joke on their personal broadcast became food for haaters. Roughly speaking, most of the students who are about to enter college wake up at 6 a.m., but they said it's good to wake up at 11 a.m. It's just a joke. K-pop singers' schedules are crazy murderous. Haters are rushing to kill the joke. You should never joke about students who are about to enter college in Korea. Their stress index is very high. Parents are also under stress. If the president does something wrong, he will be impeached. Young Eun-chae got the wrong target for the joke. It can be accepted as if successful people like us can look down. So the haters were very determined. So, I'm spreading it by making videos of only some mistakes on this Coachella stage. That's the situation right now.

@d.b20028 Haters are like hyenas who are basically looking for food. They rush in whenever there's an excuse to bite. Their specialty is to ignore both the situation. If you just hurt their feelings even a little, you'll be targeted. So Eun-chae was very intimidated and she even vomited under tremendous stress. K-pop singers are not this easy. Being a celebrity is like entering an invisible prison. It's not really an easy way. Even stories that friends can just joke around spread to everyone, and there are times when the aftermath returns to a tremendous reaction.

They sounded good even during live Stream, for the whole First portion of the Concert! 😂 The Problem wasn't the Girls, the Problem was the Headsets they switched to, after the 2nd Portion started. While they were using the normal mics, they sang Well enough!

I was there - it was so much fun and energetic. Even my friends who knew nothing of them loved it. Imagine working hard and actually putting on a great show, then getting all the negativity. Mainly unwarranted hate from ppl or basing off a few bad clips. Ppl are even reaching and questioning their work ethic... that's when you know it's ridiculous

쇼츠로 봤을 때는 진짜 못하는 것처럼 보였는데 풀버전 보니까 또 막 엄청나게 못한 건 아니였네...실력이 부족한 건 맞지만 40분 정도를 계속 공연하면 진짜 힘들기는 할 듯 쇼츠에 나오는 부분들은 대부분 힘 다 빠진 후반 공연들이고

보컬이 엄청난 건 아니지만 격하게 춤추면서 이정도면 나쁘지 않은 것 같음 못한 부분만 쇼츠로 올려서 심하게 욕먹으니 맘이 안 좋음...

Insane performance. They did so well and all the hate is literally making no sense. Most of the songs sound exactly like the original other than those few little slip ups Is their room for improvement? Yeah but isn’t there always??? They debuted 2 years ago, Eunchae is 17 and doing all this??? Like, the crowd had so much fun, the girls were so happy, PLEASE, just let them be happy I am proud of them always. I'm speaking as someone who is American and from Los Angeles. The criticism about vocals is understandable but this has been overblown as for the overall performance. Everyone who attended said that they were amazing. People who didn't know who Le sserafim were mention the experience of being amazed by how entertaining the girls were. I understand that vocals were not the best, but why throw everything else away such as being passionate, entertaining, exciting, high energy and connecting so well with the crowd? Please remember that this is a festival, artist are there to entertain and bring joy to the audience first, not live streamers. Why not appreciate young Korean artist working hard overseas to be known as great entertainers?

I'm from LA too and you are so right. Like the Korean comments are straight up evil on some of these videos. They're calling LE SSERAFIM "a disgrace to the nation", yet the crowd loves them. If I knew nothing about KPOP and hit translate on those comments I would think the real disgrace is Koreans tearing apart their own band over nothing.

Fans and locals alike said it was awesome. If they think this is terrible, they would have a conniption if they saw the stunt that headliner Frank ocean pulled last year lol. @Chelsee28 Totally. In Korean culture the veneer of perfection is important, but you just can't dance and sing perfectly at the same time. This led to lip syncing in kpop to avoid hate trains, then these guys come to Coachella, perform totally raw, and this is the response. Reality check.

쇼츠보고 풀영상보는데 확실히 느낌이 다르네. 물론 부족한 부분도 있고 부족한 멤버도 있지만, 그 짧은 일부만 보고 전체를 판단하고 욕하는게 얼마나 오류가 많고 잘못된 일인지 알겠다. 심지어 김채원은 마지막에 한 번 음이탈 날뻔한거 딱 그거만 쇼츠에 가져왔네 ㅋㅋㅋ 진짜 요즘 인터넷은 이 코첼라무대든 한 사람의 인생이든 너무 일부만 보고 전체를 매도해버리려고 한다.

@@sanasprada7 Its crazy bcoz a lot are believing they can't sing with just 10sec clip and not watching the whole performance. People think its so easy to sing 8 songs with difficult choreo and a 3 to 5 minute breaks between. Thats insane. This group really nailed live band with no loud backtrack.

Im tearing up seeing Sakura is so so so confident and enjoy this stage. She did everything she could. She give it all. The energy. The power. The stage presence. As i follow her journey from produce 48. Im so proud of her. And nothing other people say that can make me feel other way

They did what most bands don't dare - dance their a**es off + sing fully live. They know very well how to sing, and they tore up the stage. Always be happy! I wish more artists had fun like that, it was contagious seeing them enjoy themselves made the crowd even more hyped! I am so moved to see them succeed like that. Well done ladies! Proud of you!

the way some kpop fans have always longed for raw live singing and praised idols in their MR REMOVED for being able to hear their heavy breathing and shaky vocals, highlighting their authenticity, but now that LE SSERAFIM does it it's suddenly bad. The reality is LE SSERAFIM is gaining more and more popularity, since coming back with Perfect Night they've had lots of new fans and other groups stans can't sit right with the fact that they're so successful so they gotta hate on every single thing about them.

That’s why everybody in Coachella said lesserafim really good and they enjoy in their performance. I can totally feel the energy even just watch the video.

전체 공연을 보고 왔는데 이 라이브가 그렇게 욕먹을 라이브는 아니라고 본다. 과거 밴드 중에도 라이브 못하는 뮤지션들 많았는데, 한국 사람들이 특히나 실력에 미쳐있는 듯. 어느 부분이 그렇게 라이브가 별로라는건지..? 뭐 관객 잡음도 섞여서 그럴 수도 있지만. 약간은 과도한 공격인 듯. 라이브라는 게 신나면 오버할 수도 있고 음정 좀 나갈 수도 있는거임. 그게 싫으면 그냥 더 좋다고 생각하는걸 들으시길. 왜 자꾸 다른 그룹은 더 잘했네 어쩌네 하는 개소릴 하는거지?ㅋㅋ 비교질 작작하고 그냥 이 무대를 즐겨. 세계적 밴드인 radiohead 의 thom yorke나 mcr 등도 완벽한 라이브는 아니어도 다 그른가보다 하고 들었음.

솔직히 잘했다고는 못하는데 풀영상 보니깐 쇼츠볼때보다 진짜 그렇게 폐급으로는 안 느껴지는 것 같아요... 쇼츠에서 안 좋은것만 묶어가지고 나올땐 와 진짜 완전히 망했구나 했는데 풀버전 보니까... 엥? 싶음 그러고 보면 쇼츠에서도 막곡 파벨리만 잔뜩 찝어와서 보여줬는데 실제로 무대 보니깐 파벨리 마지막에 음정 와장창 뭉개졌지 나머지는 그렇게 큰 음이탈도 없었던것 같고 특히 첫 무대는 그렇게 나쁘지 않음.. 물론 잘한건 아닌 것 같고 이 영상 찍으신분 주변에서 들리는 관객들 환호 때문에 망한 부분들이 묻힌 걸수도 있지만! 그래도 풀영상 보니 이걸 저렇게까지? 싶긴 하네용...

will be watching this fancam instead of the coachella replay. the live stream was so fckd up that made it worst for the girls and the comments here are so heartwarming and with open minded and understanding abt the problem of the stream. i saw a lot of comments from the people who ACTUALLY went to the festival and they said that they really enjoyed their performance. KPOP fans are scary, keyboard warriors :(

사쿠라만 월등히 달라진걸 느꼈고 실력을 떠나 무대에서 진짜 즐겼고 본인의 그 에너지를 관객에게 느끼게해주는게 유투브로 본거지만 느껴졌어요 한국분들이 기대하는 가창력이 부족했을뿐ㅠㅠ 가수니 실력을 떠나 평가하면 안되지만 정말 많이 늘은것은 맞고 어떤 생각으로 임하는지 느껴지는 그사람이 보이는 무대엿어요!

コーチェラのマイナス意見があまりにも多いから観にきましたが、、そんな悪い？堂々としていて普通にかっこいいけどなぁ、、、 私の推しグルでも大事な授賞式で高音パート盛大に外してしまった事があったけど、その後ヘラヘラ笑ってしまう訳でもなくプロらしくカッコよく歌い切る、そういう姿がアイドルとしてのプライド且つオタクの私が思うオタクが求める姿だと思ってます。 叫んでる的な事に関しては、もちろん終盤にかけてキツくて苦しいのもあるだろうけど、彼女達自身アドレナリンが出て、お客さんを沸かせようと煽ったようにも見える。 こんなに大量の曲をバキバキに踊って生歌やったのは実際は初めてなのかもしれないが、それが彼女達にとって歌の事に関して前から言われていた事もあり、大きな挑戦だったのかもしれないですね。 でもネットより、現地の人！沸きまくってて楽しそうな人いっぱいいるって事は成功！

私もまったく同じように思いました。 ルセラは目の前会場いた人達のことだけ考え、楽しんでもらえるよう全力でのぞんていたし、観客もそれにこたえてたし、それに対して又、彼女達もかえしてって、ものすごくいいライブだったと思います。 ホント、その場にいた人達が楽しんでいたら、大成功ですよね✨ 次は配信でみてる人達も、喜んでもらえるようになれたら、最高ですね。 私は配信でも、楽しかったけど😊

I uploaded my first video as soon as the concert ended and was so confused by the flood of malicious comments vs what I saw and experienced myself. Realized I needed to put the full length of my video for people to understand how much they sang back to back, how much better it sounded in person, how much fun it was for those in pereon and how they tired they got toward the end.

They sounded good on live Stream too... When they were using the normal mics, they sounded absolutely fine. The issues started arising, when they switched to Headsets. All the Out of context Videos they use as examples of horrible vocals, If you notice, are Clips of the 2nd Portion of the Concert, where they Had changed the mics to Headsets, which were making Problems.

@@michaelcorbett4236 exactly... i get the feeling that people really either didn't watch the whole concert and Base opinions on Clips of the 2nd Portion, or didn't even notice the Problems only started arising AFTER the Microphone changes. And even then, it wasn't that bad overall, If one listens to the whole Song, instead of a few Seconds Clip, that's taken out of context... The didn't even shout that often as people make it Out to be. It's so upsetting, really. I went into the Concert expecting nothing really, and came out a Fan. They did so Well, and it felt actually Like a real Performance, not an edited music Show. This is how live music is supposed to be. I'll rather have the real Thing, with the flaws, than a polished fake Performance.

They don't sound bad at all. I'm not sure why this hate train started. They seem like they were having so much fun, too. They did very well, the voices were very good along with the choreographies, the dancers and the band, they really transmitted very good energy. It’s one of his best performances. LE SSERAFIM killed it!!!

How are their vocals bad?? Literally everyone online is saying their vocals are bad. All their dances are already hard enough. Whenever they include parts and say theyre bad, its always the parts when theyre having fun with the crowd or the parts that are harder to be stable and never include the parts they literally eat up

They get out of breath easly and are out of key, a big part of the performance is them shouting instead of singing, the only decent ones here are Chaewon and Yunjin. The dance can not make for that bad vocals and tbh it's not hard to dance and sing if you have been training and living of it for 2 years 🧍‍♂️

@@koma7512 It's not hard? Who the fuck are you? Do you train performers? Have you ever been in their shoes? It never gets easier to perform choreography and sing. Let me remind you that they're at a festival, and they're on the Sahara stage which is mainly EDM hype music. Their job is to energize the crowd. Doing that, they still managed to keep their vocals pretty stable, and that's with a minimal backing track. You may be surprised to learn that NOBODY sings PERFECTLY live unless they're very skilled and standing still most of the time. I can understand if you're confused after watching so many kpop stages with a loud backing track, that you wouldn't recognize a real live performance.

야외콘서트 다른 아티스트들과 함께 무대를 공유하는 것인데, 대부분의 KPOP 노래가 이런 콘서트에 어울리는 곡은 아니다. KPOP 노래는 스튜디오 공연, TV 프로그램 방송, 댄스 쇼, 립싱크에 적합하지만 패미는 마이크가 라이브로 노래하고 춤추며 청중과 영어로 대화하도록 합니다. 한국인이 아닌 피미는 리허설과 행사 준비를 하며 최선을 다했습니다. 좋아하는 사람은 보는 것도 즐겁습니다. 마음에 안들면 다른 밴드로 가세요. 사람들에게 행복을 가져다주고자 하는 팀원들을 낙담시킬 필요는 없습니다. 일을 개선하려는 좋은 의도에서 나오는 비판과 혐오에서 나오는 비판은 다릅니다. 알아차리는 것은 어렵지 않습니다. 그들은 어떤 미움도 받아서는 안 됩니다.

They sing 100% live with live band, that is really difficult for kpop song. Especially Lesserafim’s song not easy to sing and dance are difficult. We need to praise how hardworking they are in this 40mins. But Korean are thinking fake is better now. Funny. And now they even said it looks better in the fancam is because they use AR in there.😂 just said they hate the group is ok. It is clean to hear there is no any backtrack when they sing. If they has lounder backtrack we can hear the same in live streaming.

The concert was amazing from what i watched. They song very well. There was a couple of slip up on vocals but that is natural in a concert live setting. They had amazing energy to sing 10 songs in 50 minutes. The audience loved them and were singing with them showing they were having fun. Haters are just going to show more hate to LSF because their favorites weren't there singing in Coachella. LSF stage presences is much better than BPs.

The loud music covered up the bad vocals hence they sounded ok. But for those of us who watched the KZread Coachella live streaming and also replay wasn’t spared the misery as we could hear the bad vocals ever so clearly. I watched the whole set and was cringeing ever so often every time each of them went off tune. That was the reason for the massive criticism they are getting now. Much of the streaming viewers heard what they heard clearly. No one can sabotage KZread live stream.

done watching. I was so curious about their performance because I saw a lot of clips saying that they performed so bad. But I’m so surprised it’s not so bad. I’m not a fan of them but I appreciate the dedication and hardwork they did for this performance. I really thought it’s really bad. I think it’s just expected that they have some crack voice or flat while singging and dancing. I see how energetic they are and dancing so hard. But It’s not all the time they have flats. Just my opinion and base on my observation while watching this.

The people overly criticizing them have NOT watched the full performance because how can you insult their whole reputation as performers after seeing them? I literally forgot all about the hate being spewed at them from terrible people and just enjoyed their show ❤ such amazing PERFORMERS! If I was in that crowd I would be hyped up so much! Definitely seeing them in concert for their world tour!

Fearnots already knew that they are not best singers out there in K-Pop. But haters do not know why fearnots loves fimmies. We love them cause what they are and mostly their songs are unique. For me. I love them because their great positive personalities that bring as a group. I do not care about other haters think. If they are bother by this they should more focus on their GG not focusing on bring down other GG. Music is for fun and universal language to bring people together. Stop bring hates.
