This isnt even as bad because of the fans singing with them. The broadcast was a lot worse. My Korean coworker posted "Im having secondhand embarrassment " after they performed. I didn't understand at first but this is why.

I watched the livestream and was embarrassed that I had recommended their stage to everyone on both my instagram accounts. Vocally, no they're not on par with other groups, that's a fact. But the performance was still great, they had fun, the crowd were hyped up, and it was a good time. All that matters is that people enjoyed it. This is a festival not a kpop concert. Also, their choreo is really challenging and none of it was made with live vocals in mind.

I didn't even know they were going to be at Coachella but I saw some people already saying how they were lacking. I didn't believe that their performance would be bad but I went to watch Blackpink's performance...there is a huge gap between the two performances. I would assume that they chose having a good time over having a good performance (singing and dancing) . It's not bad but it also depends if a person values a good time over a good performance. Also in my opinion I prefer a balance of a good performance (doesn't have to be perfect) and a good time Sorry if this is long

@@hobiiiswifey3624 actually I'm a fan since their debut hell I'm hoping they come back they have a ton of potential they have only been active for a little less than 2 years (AKA still rookies at least in my eyes) . This performance was to be expected which is why at least a section of people are upset that they were a part of a big festival like Coachella so early in their careers. I hope they come back to show their improvement in balancing crowd work and performance because I know they'll be incredible once they find that balance (don't know about the actual haters that aren't giving criticism or even acknowledging on what they did well in or just cursing them for their performance)

they have done their best and given all their energy. I hope they can do better in the future I will still support them no matter what happens ~ LOVE LE SSERAFIM❤🔥

I didn’t see chaewon shouting in this video. Live performances are definitely different from recording, especially this song with vigorous dancing. I don’t know if you have been to a concert or not? There’s nothing wrong to interact with the audience. I have seen so much worst. I prefer spontaneity in live performances. It looked fun. This is a difficult song to sing live to. But I don’t think that they were awful at all. I’ll watch it again.

Fearnots are not blind, we know our girls and what they're capable of, we won't let them down just for this, we'll encourage them to keep going and improving but we'll do on a positive way not by hating or making them feel like they're the worst cause they're not. It's not just speak cause you have a mouth, you have to be respectful to the people and make constructive criticism which really help not just shading. The reason why their whole performance are being hated/criticized/labeled as worst is because people are comparing them to blackpink, aespa, and ateez. If you only watch le sserafim it's definitely not that bad.

What I can see is all the people under the stage were extremely enjoy the vibe and this is what exactly Coachella should be. Maybe they are not very well as a singer, BUT they are super excellent as a performer!!!🔥

First thing I noticed was how much Sakura has improved, dang! They honestly did better than I expected considering some prior live vocals I'd seen of theirs. I would assume they must've been practicing like crazy as they've improved but I think there is still room for further improvement. I agree with others that I don't think they were ready for such a big stage with a heavy focus on live vocals which is what a lot of people were saying before when they were announced to be at Coachella. That being said, they did a great job at hyping the crowd but watching this back on YT, it feels kinda flat and I don't really know why? It could've been better but at the same time I've heard Le Sserafim sound MUCH worse than this so they've obviously been working hard and it's paying off, I just think they need more time.

They've definitely improved and I think it's important to acknowledge that but they're also fairly lackluster when it comes to vocals unfortunately. I just think it's important to give positives as well as negatives - if we only focus completely on the negatives then it can come off as mean instead of constructive or as just giving an opinion if that makes sense.

They had to sing above the crowd or you would not have heard them at all, it was not screaming, but projecting. They did amazing!!!!! Sakura brought her A game and I’m so proud of all the girls ❤

They did Soo good. No matter how much i try to nit pick they hyped up the crowd and delivered such power through their voices. Thats how u do a festival! Imagine being in the crowd at that time. These haters are soo lifeless! just stop watching? whats poking your ass to watch them

this is the first song and they were clearly nervous but great performance regardless and i can hear the crowd having a blast for sure. definitely raw vocals cause i would be nervous as hell seeing all those people . that was a big crowd. they were not expecting that.

dont know why so many people are saying they were bad at singing. they did very well. and this song is keep going on low pitch, so originally it does not sound elegant compared to other high-pitch songs.

For those saying Yunjin's vocal, she did very well in other songs during this Coachella. E.g Easy This song may be a one time off, but she has never let down on her energy. She still did great! All of them did great!

Seems like quite a lot of people have no idea how live performances are and how they sound. Go watch a band perform like at Glastonbury and you may well get an idea. These girls are not perfect they are not lip syncing , nor are there any voice enhancers/effects being used just pure rawness of how human voice sounds.

I was very excited for their performances, then I read it was bad and decided to not even watch to not be disappointed. Then there were comments that it's not actually that bad so here I am. Yes, it's not good, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I also decided to go back and watch Blackpink's performance once again and they used backtrack for almost every song while Le Sserafim mostly sang without backtrack. Nerves, hard dances, some of the songs not suiting ANY of the girls voices - there's too many nuances for just saying they are bad singers. BUT I have to say that Sakura surprised me very much. Her voice is very stable and I haven't heard her sound that good like ever.

I think their charisma carried their lack of vocal stability in some parts. I’ll take it. I’d be there to have a good time and I felt like singing along too. Energy was great
