I had tears rolling down my face during this scene. Diana Damrau was utterly fabulous.

I prefer Nathalie for she has both the boyish AND the sensitive aspect of Marie. But Diana is, as usual, perfection when it comes to the voice.

I love Diana in this role-actually prefer her portrayal of Marie to that of Natalie. The latter has an edge merely because it's her native language and the recit flows easier, but this is a great role for Diana!

Is this San Francisco?

Well, I like Diana better. Her voice is stronger and I think her Marie is more real, acting-wise. Dessay is still wonderful, anyway
