    Can't believe they didn't install a high beat movement in such a nice looking watch a miyota 9015 would be good . depends on price . if this is 4 to 500 that is to high for an 8000 series miyota

    Very retro, cool watch. I already have a blue Superman vintage 39mm blue, but after seeing this watch I'm seriously consider getting it. I've never seen a blue watch I did not like, from my collection Omega, Tag, Yema, Square, Orient.... all divers !! Adding one more would be Very nice indeed.

    I'm thinking about getting me a new watch. Date window at 4 o'clock would provide the possibility to print a "3" on the dial. Plus it would be nicht, if there was a possible to get an ETA or Sellita replacement for the movement. Some suppliers ask for probably +150 EUR and you get a way better watch.

    Never heard of this brand or this watch until a few days ago. Was on the fence for a bit. Been thinking about a vintage-inspired diver for about this price. Didn't need a new watch. Saw this video. Watch is on the way :) Blue on blue. Good job.

    @@MidknightMechanics Well I've had the watch for a couple weeks and I fully understand your reaction to it when you first saw it. It's friggin' gorgeous. I put mine on a jubilee and occasionally a Barton rubber strap. The tropical strap it came with is a little soft for my liking. Though comfortable. I'm okay with the non-hacking movement and the rotor sound has actually become an enjoyable quirk and it's been running typically withing +8s/day. I'm okay with that. It's consistent. It's become a regular part of my rotation and I don't see that changing. Hope you're still enjoying yours. It's a gem of a watch.

    If i get a diver watch, it'll be this one. Great look. The movement is a bit disappointed. At this price, a slightly higher-end, hacking, movement, such as a miyota 9015 would have been welcome.

    @@MidknightMechanics Do you think the domed crystal could be a problem with hitting/scratching things? It seems like it is raised quite a bit. It also looks like the crystal maginifies the face at the edges when looking at it more from the side. I ask these questions because I am actually thinking of this watch as an option for this style. Thanks!

    Everyone is complaining about the movement... it’s so silly... They are relaunching their brand with this model after many years in the coma. They probably made the decision to launch a beautiful watch with a cheap movement to control the cost and bring back customers to this old but forgotten brand. If they had relaunched with a first watch at $1000 they would probably stay forgotten. They will be launching a new model in 2021 with a 3039 movement. I am sure people will then complain about cost..... anyway, beautiful watch especially considering the price, you get a lot of watch for it. Thanks for the detailed review. Good job.

    Do you know anything else about the new model in 2021? This is a beautiful looking watch that I am considering buying. But I may hold out and pay a bit more if a better model is on the horizon.

    I partly disagree with your comment. In my opinion it would have been better to spend the Malouine a Miyota 9015 and increase the price up to $100. This would have raised the price/performance enormously. Anyway, it’s still good value for money. That’s why I have ordered one (blue dial and strap).

    I think you’re confused. It’s a mechanical watch that can wind itself with wrist movement which is called an Automatic. Also has hand winding. The 8215 MIYOTA's signature standard mechanical movement. Size: 11 1/2'''; Height: 5.67mm; Accuracy: -20~+40 sec/day;
