This is one of my favorite thing on YT because of these reasons 1. It’s POTO 2. Sierra 3. Sierra is drunk 4. Most of the people are drunk I think- 5. The accordion 6. The F r e n c h 7. Especially in “The Phantom of the Opera is here” 8. And “He’s here the Phantom of the Opera” 9. They sang that line as the camera points at the great Opera House behind them upon which the story of POTO is based off of 10. The girl at the end

Its so ironic that a story set in France about a French Opera Ghost and a French Diva called Christine has productions in differeng languages exepct French 😂 and how just before the first performance was gonna start a fire very near the Opera House broke out and caused enough damage for the production to ge cancelled. I think the Opera Ghost does not want a French production to be made. And ALW respected his decision 😂

Tell me was there meant to be an actual production in France? because if there was...I'm very pissed off! in 2014 Disney's beauty and the beast & tanz der vampire finally got French productions & no cast recordings were made! this is from a phantom of the opera/lnd fan btw:) p.s: just read what happened found info on another vid (then looked it up on google. so you don't need to tell me.) i'll say well...THIS IS WRONG & A CRYING SHAME!

It definitely is. The closest thing we Phans are getting to a French production of ALW's Phantom is the upcoming Canadian French Concert that is being heldin July in Montreal for two nights (Source: www.monumentnational.com/fr/programmation/fiche/le-fantome-de-lopera/). That's about it for now. Who knows when ALW will attempt to get the show up and running in France again.

Operatic Mickey yes, in 2016 - the theatre caught fire very shortly before start of production 😔 hopefully they’ll do it in the future, especially since the West End version may not be reopening...

The pedestrains didn't know that they were watching THE Sierra Boggess, I feel sorry for them.

It couldn't get anymore Parisian when you see Sierra Boggess with the POTO cast singing "Phantom of the Opera" in french with an accordion in front of the Opera house itself. It just gives me chills! ♥♥♥♥♥

les Miz was actually a french musical at the start, it never was successful. Then it was adapted in the english version we know and boom, masterpiece. To be fair, I don't think I would have liked a french version of Phantom, I think the french lyrics we hear there are less poetic in a sense than the original.

Idk why, but I get chills when they point the camera up to the Palais Garnier and sing "He's there, the Phantom of the Opera! Beware, The Phantom of the Opera!" Ugh...that Opera House is phenomenal and I just want to see it so badly in person. 💗 It's such a shame they couldn't go on with this production. 💔 Would've been amazing!

Tim'N'Co I saw her in London, she wasn’t on as Carlotta sadly (although Britt is amazing) but as one of the Confidantes in Il Muto :)

The tragedy is that all those gifted singers could not perform this version of Le fantôme de l'opéra in French with orchestra in the large theater which was booked for the season because it burnt ans everything was cancelled !

Gardar is currently playing the role in Love Never Dies. I saw him live, and he was UNBELIEVABLE!

Wasn't it interesting? I haven't known Gardar Thor Cortes until I watched his performance as Phantom in Love Never Dies in Chicago in 2/22. And now I know he also played Phantom besides Sierra Boggess' Christine in the French version of POTO. Gotta love this.

Not too many can alternate between the soprano songbook and the belting powerhouse selections as seamlessly as Celinde can. She does it so effortlessly. With her vocal and acting range. She is going to be a super star and much celebrated musical theatre artist. :)

Yes, they were upset about the news that that the theater had burned down so they went out for drinks got a little tippys and ended up performing on the steps.

Kate Johnson He’s fluent in Icelandic and English. At least conversational in German and French. He has also sang in Russian and Italian. He is phenomenal. So sweet. And he will say something in another language if you ask. He is such an amazing man. So honored to call him a friend
