I know what you mean. I was a kid when I saw this film at a movie theater also. Both drama and the music had a strong impression on me ever since.

Je vois ce que tu veux dire. Il n’y a pas de grandes stars comme ces trois hommes de nos jours. "Le Clan Des Siciliens" était en ce sens un film monumental. Merci pour votre commentaire.

Har lige genset filmen, for gud hvilken gang, og det er ikke negativt ment. Gabin,Delon,Ventura er suveræne. Det er alle andre også. Burde være på listen over Verdens bedste film. Bedste gangsterdrama i årtier, sammen med, Carlitos Way, De Uovervindelige, etc., for jeg kan blive ved. Musikken til "Klanen" er jo bare, SUVERÆN. Morricone for ever.

Jeg bliver også ved med at se denne film med jævne mellemrum. Dette er bestemt en uforglemmelig film-noir. Morricones musik er også så smuk.

Aye this is my favourite incarnation of the soundtrack. I haven't seen the film I'm just a huge Morricone fan; but I'm definitely gonna watch it

you should watch the film. Following the commercial success of the film FF Coppola wanted Jean Gabin to play Don Vito but he was already ill (he died 4 years later) and declined. Jean Gabin was Sergio Leone's favorite actor. The acting in the movie is flawless, it features the three French megastars of the time Gabin/Delon/Ventura

I wonder what the story is with the piano-led version of the main theme that has appeared on several Morricone best-ofs over the years? Again, a non-soundtrack recording. Thanks again for sharing this intriguing rarity.

Un de mes films préférés d'Alain Delon. À l'époque, Alain Delon était accueilli avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme au Japon et Alain Delon était plus populaire au Japon que toute autre star. Cependant, à cette époque, il était difficile de distribuer des films et de la musique étrangers au Japon, et les sorties de films étrangers et les ventes de disques étaient retardées d'un an au plus tôt. Cet album est un disque pour le Japon, commandé par une maison de disques japonaise à la société de cinéma, probablement parce que l'original était indisponible pour cette raison. Cette situation d'incapacité à vendre des albums de films originaux s'est poursuivie jusque dans les années 1990.

Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire. Comme vous le dites, Alain Delon était très populaire au Japon dans les années 1960, probablement plus populaire qu'en France. Cependant, les films étrangers ont été distribués au Japon pas si tard que la distribution étrangère à cette époque. Ce film est sorti en décembre 1969 en France et sorti au Japon en avril 1970, seulement quatre mois plus tard. En outre, l'album LP de la bande originale est sorti au Japon presque en même temps que la sortie du film. La coupe unique était un enregistrement différent du LP pour une raison quelconque. Qui a interprété les deux faces de ce single reste un mystère.
