With 2 hours and change remaining at the 2024 Barkley Marathons, we pulled Lazarus Lake aside for an in-depth interview about his background, his philosophy of endurance, and the past, present, and future of the race. After Finn opened up the interview with a reference to the local time, Laz stopped him with the reminder that it wasn’t 2:47 PM EST - it was 57:47. We were on Barkley time. Noted!
