Layzie Bone: I Have a Bullet in My Head From When I Got Shot at 16

Спорт

Layzie Bone and Rocky Rock of Mo Thugs Records sat down with VladTV, and the Bone Thugs rapper opened up about living the street life during his childhood. The Cleveland rapper started from the beginning and revealed that he was just ten when he got into the street life, adding that it was only a few years later that he was caught with 140 rocks of crack. Layzie then pointed out that he wanted to be a big time drug dealer just like Freeway Ricky, but it was an incident at 16 that left him wanting to leave the street life behind for music.
Layzie explained that he was shot in his neighborhood during a case of mistaken identity, which left him with a bullet permanently lodged in his head. The rapper told us that it was at that moment that he knew he had to get out of the street life and start to work towards a career in music.
Hit the above slide to hear more from Layzie, including how Bone Thugs changed up their name at the request of Eazy-E.

Good interview. Layzie is the best spoken member of BTNH Dude is always coherent and articulate. Stays on point too. Krayzie is a bit introspective with social anxiety, Bizzy is all over the space. Flesh and Wish are almost never doing interviews. Good to hear those stories from the dude that got me listening to them. First song I ever heard was Thuggish Ruggish Bone and I thought Layzie did the best in that song. Only later I started appreciated the rest of bone thugs

For example, "How did you meet Eazy E?" 2pac? Biggie? The same questions all the time. I really hope they write a book and movie. God Bless them they are 100% Real!!!!

I Remeber being a young kid when BoneThugs& Harmony first came out and it was five of them and four of us. My siblings and I all picked a Bone a piece. I was Layzie Bone, he was always my FAV!!! Its crazy how kids identify themselves through artist and music. They will always be a legendary iconic group. Have they been inducted Hollywood Rock Roll Hall of Fame? I wish BTH would do more speaking engagements on the trauma in Black communities they experienced. Also speak to the younger generations.
