LAYERS OF RETINA
LAYERS OF RETINA
in this video, we describe the 10 LAYERS OF THE RETINA. After understanding this video, the viewer will never have to memorize the layers or use mnemonics as the concept about the cellular arrangement of the retina would be very clear to them. The LAYERS OF RETINA can be divided from outer to inner into 10 LAYERS namely :-
the RPE
The LAYER OF RODS AND CONES
THE OUTER LIMITING MEMMBERANE LAYER
THE OUTER NUCLEAR LAYER
OUTER PLEXIFORM LAYER
INNER NUCLEAR LAYER
INNER PLEXIFORM LAYER
LAYER OF GANGLION CELL / GANGLION CELL LAYER
NERVE FIBRE LAYER
INNER LIMITING MEMBERANE .

the video explains the LAYERS IN DETAIL.

excellent presentation ma'am. very useful for pgs. you really make the tough concepts easy. one doubt ma'am, few articles says plexiform layers are hyperreflective and nuclear layers are hyporeflective.
@InsightOphthalmology
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! I apologize for that mistake... You are right... The Plexiform layers are more hyperreflective... I will try to make a correction... I would do another video on retinal oct as per the international consensus on hyperreflective and hyporeflective structures, so that it isn't confusing 😊
Awesome 👍
