Law can't be what a lawyer/lawyers feel about. Judiciary lost its respect by it's interpretation of a written law meaning to the contrary and penchant to stray into executive domain. In a democracy courts are independent but not sovereign. It's must stay at the domain of adjudication of disputes.

Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or house hold divided against itself will not stand. If Saturn drives out Saturn, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand.

Lawyers are fully independent till date. But hooligan and fun of law and twisting of law for self motives must be curtailed. Please share more examples as well when lawyers were curtailed. This will be insightful.

Indian judiciary lost its moorings when transgressed primary decency it required in interpretation of wordings of Constitution. When asked point blank, many judges squirm on their seats, that by which stretch of imagination you can take a consultation as a unilateral veto?

Common people concern is about getting timely justice, if judiciary not fit to be fulfill the expectation of common people then it would be considered failed judicial system and if collegium is part of the system for appointment of judges, then it's also a failed system. Reform in judicial system is inevitable.

Central government has to bring website to receive complaints and videos in respect of human rights violations incidents happened any where in India .Then there would be first step from the government side for protection of human rights. Human rights protection is continue process .if rights are books in existence that is in constitution ,can not be taken as a protection shield unless these rights are protected in continuing way at least by registering the violations in specific website. Prompt action is required with in short time after registration in the website.

Why does this speaker say that the CAA act would have not passed the Constitution? The CAA was only for those religious minorities ot three countries which declared themselves as Islamic and if these minorities (Hindus,Sikhs and xtians) sought refuge in India to escape persecution. This Act was not for existing citizens of India.

As a practising advocate, I would say that a person should join the bar to become a lawyer and nothing more. No profession offers the kind of independence which legal profession offers. If one is chosen as a judge, it is a bonus. But, if a person joins the bar treating it as a stepping stone for becoming a HC judge, then the problems arise. HC Judges are appointed after consulting the governor of the State, which means the consent of the Chief Minister. I am rather surprised that Mr.Sondhi didn't show awareness of this essentil process of appointment of HC judges. Besides, caste and regional representation in the Court also plays a role. So it is not just the intellectual leaning of the lawyer which counts. There are other factors. So, Mr.Sondhi need not feel like a martyr!

British illegal rulers came to India and declared themselves as a Government. In 1861,with evil intention framed as criminal laws in guise of just to punish the crime committed persons but that British illegal rulers are also criminals because any one cry against British man ,he would be given death penalty that is 124 a indian penal code .They violated human rights and looted all sources but they left weapons in the guise of laws.constitution came with human rights but those weapons are hitting some one this is nothing misuse of law. Those criminal laws are to be studied and maximum amendments are to be made to save democracy and constitutional principles

According to Mr Sondhi the bar is the conscience keeper of the nation as though it is full of upright fair and non aligned persons. I believe that the lawyers are as fallible and partisan as the common man. In no country including democratic countries are judges appointed by judges. The executive does so and the democracy in those countries is thriving. The government has an ideology and its plans and programmes are implemented by legislation and administration. If a politically driven judge opposing the government is to adjudicate most likely he will impede the government’s plans and programmes. It is human nature. The outburst of judges in the Nupur Sharma case is a case in point. They made absolutely unwarranted unsubstantiated and highly offensive observations just because they were politically aligned. In each and every case where the state is involved the judgement is based on the political proclivity of the concerned judges. We cannot separate personal prejudices from the person.
