I could not stand this show back in the day, but my mind has changed a bit. The world we live in now is so insane that taking these trips back to my Grandma's world is strangely comforting.

I love this show, watch it with my mom until this day. I cry for her.
All these beautiful people...those were the days....the world we live in now is garbage.
I remembrer those wanderful days. That precious music: And delicious moments. We sure did enjoy Mr. Welks music deeply.
Anacani was my father's favorite singer. Our family would watch the Lawrence Welk show every weekend. I'm glad KZread has video memories of the show.
Lots of memories. This Show brought tones of joy to many people. My parents never missed it. And the musicians were very talented!
Back when life was simple!❤️🥰

Uh… no it wasn’t. This was the era of Reagan’s trickle down economics, the advent of HIV/AIDS, and the very real threat of nuclear war between the US and Russia, a severe recession, the Falklands War… not exactly simple times at all.
@8jaime8

@pen64 It’s simple compared to today. We still have AIDS and a terrible economy. The gap between rich and poor has metastasised. LA and San Francisco have tent cities full of homeless people. The drug epidemic has grown exponentially. The borders mean nothing and the country is being overrun with illegal migrants who get put up in luxury hotels by taxpayers who can ill afford it.. Shoplifting is so extreme in some cities that shops have been forced to close, while the thieves walk free. The threat of war seems closer than ever, and now we’re facing both nuclear and biological weapons. Porn has proliferated to the point that even children are exposed to it. Children are being indoctrinated with all kinds of sickness and the government is trying to take away parents’ rights to protect them. Children are going on murder sprees, shooting up their schools. . Women in sports are forced to compete with men dressed as women. Of course these men are crushing women’s world records and making a joke women’s achievements. Men have even gotten into women’s prisons by claiming to be women. No prize for guessing what these men do to the women forced to be locked up with them. People are fed misinformation and propaganda directly via their phone, courtesy of hostile foreign powers. This has sped along the fracture and degeneration of society. Things are so broken that the captial was attacked by its own citizens. The time this video is from wasn’t perfect, but it was a far simpler, and far better time than the one we live in today.
Such wholesome entertainment. That world is long gone, sadly.
My oh my, where has the time gone? How I remember as an 8 year old boy gathering around the TV on Saturday night with my parents to watch the Lawrence Welk show. Now, the folks are gone, I've been married for 50 years. I still enjoy just as much watching on U-tube, the Lawrence Welk Show!!❤❤❤
When Lawrence walk came on Saturday evening you just knew everything would be ok. Times have changed
Those were the days of really great music, far beyond what the nonsense is that is aired today and attempts to be called "music". The harmonies and smooth sounds of the blended instruments just cannot be duplicated today. I am so proud that I grew up in a time when television was clean and the music was at it's best.

Yes my mind changed as I watch this. It was wonderful.
I enjoy the show very much, and if the main digital signal 🚥🚦 of a PBS Station can't broadcast the show any more, than it should be broadcast on one of the side channels of the local PBS Station, such as HD 2, 3, 4, or HD 5, of a PBS Station, like in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on WQED HD 2, HD 3, HD 4, and or WQED HD 5!
From the first show we were always entertained my Sainted Mother listening in Heaven waited to hear Anacani singing a Spanish song!
Guy and Ralna completely ate that song for dinner.
I love the music of Lawrence welk
Love you brothers what you bring to everyonebody and sisters too.
It is completely fascinating that this show/music genre existed at the same time as MTV, etc. Its like there was a huge overlap in cultural trends.

Anacani was terrific! She sings superbly, and she's a fine dancer too.
Loved watching this show with my grandparents and my daughter.
WELL, GAIL,RON AND MICHAEL DID IT FOR ME THIS TIME. THEIR IMPROVISATION OF GLEN MILLERS, "IN THE MOOD "WAS BRILLIANT. I CANT REMEMBER HAVING HEARD ANOTHER RENDITION AS GOOD AS THEIR PERFORMANCE .REALLY GOT MY FEET TAPPING AGAIN ..GREAT STUFF........ A GREAT ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE USE OF THEIR IMAGINATION.
When I was in kindergarten, we watched this show, then the King Family, on Saturday night
It's hard to beat LW show. All the gals & guys are great & beautiful.
Mary Lou Meztger is beautiful!
Fabulous!
"In the Mood" - love that song! That'll get you dancin'.

The musicians, singers and dancers were unbelievably good. Miss seeing the PBS Saturday night broadcast of his weekly TV shows.
Thank you
Brings back a lot great memories, 😊
One of the last shows to air
Thanks for great music 🎶! Enjoy: Seems like Old Times Twilight Time, Dream at Chris Phally channel on KZread & 80 more. The L.Welk show was so inspiring, "keep a song in your ❤️ heart...
Myrons incredible, a genius of the accordian
This is my favorite song by Elvis. Guy and Ralna sings this really good.
Haven't listened to Lawrence Well for many years. It sounds different. The musicians are less technical, more rushed, out of breath, more prepared, less relaxed. I guess back then, my options were fewer. Less competition. The show wouldn't fly today. Meredith Wilson was a nice introduction and a pleasant surprise.
Great show Shane

Course his family too.

At 7:15 why does Anacani sing about liking to hear "Violence?" She is so talented and beautiful but why is she singing about her love of violence?

Let’s see…a black drummer a black dancer a Latina singer a Hispanic clarinet player…looks pretty good to me. Consider the type of music. Not exactly hip hop. Most of the musicians stayed with the band. Some for more than 30 years
@8jaime8

Even if they were all white (which they clearly aren’t), so what? You wouldn’t complain about an all-Black show, would you? Or an all Hispanic show? It’s only white people who you’d force out so others could take their place. That sounds extremely racist of you. White people have as much right to do their own thing as anyone else. Stop it with the hypocritical, racist, anti-white double standards.
Good Lord.
Great show Shane
