When I was 6 yrs old I could already do an impression of Lawrence Welk. Whenever my grandmother baby sat me Mr. Welk would be on the TV. I would imitate Mr Welk's manor of speaking to make my grandmother laugh. "Wonerful Wonerful."

👩💻Wow!!! I grew up watching the Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday after our bath. Noticing that this video was recorded in 1955, I am just a year younger than that. Never knew.

Lawrence knew Myron was a better accordion player than him, thats why he hired him ! Two great men enjoying their work

That's because L. W. never learned how to play the accordion with his left hand.. you always see him turned slightly away from from the camera whenever he's playing, so no one will notice.. and I suppose audiences back then didn't notice..

Welk doesn't use his left hands on the buttobs of his accordian ever. Wonder just jow great an accordian player he really is?

He was very capable of playing the bass side of an accordion, not as good as Myron but he was a very capable accordionist who had been recording records from the 1920's.
