Eddie Hearn did an amazing job guiding Okolie to a world title, defended him despite all the criticism he and his fights received. I can’t think of a fighter in recent years that has been more painful to watch than Okolie.

He can’t change, he’s terrified of getting hit, and we saw why, absolutely no whiskers. He can punch hard for sure, the hugging is a symptom of his fear of getting chinned.

People are saying Okolie doesn't seem there mentally. Firstly, having a child can really change a person's perspective. Secondly, he has never been overtly forthcoming. He's always had a nonchalant attitude which is what he probably thinks works best for him as a personality. Nothing new here other than he is experiencing new life milestones. Feel like Okolie is slowly growing & maturing as a person. Just a shame it didn't happen a few years earlier. I do agree however that a loss somehow is better for him than that perfect record as no one gave af back then either & he never fought big names in a dull division anyway. Good thing with hitting the bottom is the only way usually is up with much lower expectations

He got smashed to bits, screwed up his promotional situation and is looking overweight, which for a professional athlete is a bad sign. Factor in he used to weigh 50 stone and it’s looking like a serious case of down bad. But at least he’s got unconditional love from people like you.
