Sunni Ottoman-Albanian Commander, Muhammad Ali Pasha who destroyed the first Saudi-Arabian Wahhabi State, the Emirate of Dir’iyah, whilst almost wiping out the Saudi tribe. In 1801, the resting place of Hazrat Imam Hussain ibn Ali رضي الله عنه‎ (Prophet’s ﷺ Beloved Grandson) in Karbala was destroyed by the army of Abdullah bin Saud, causing anger amongst the Muslims. After this heinous crime the Al Saud Wahhabis turned their attention to the Blessed cities of Makkah tul Mukarramah and Madinah tul Munawarrah, the Prophet’s ﷺ Mosque was damaged, many Muslims were slaughtered and Ottoman caravans raided by Abdullah bin Saud and his army. As a result of the Saudi Wahhabi crimes the Sunni Ottoman Caliphate and its Wazir of Egypt the Sunni Albanian General Muhammad Ali Pasha and later his son Muhammad Ibrahim Pasha made war on the House of Saud throughout the early 1800s, by 1812 the Sunni Ottoman Caliphate had recaptured Madinah tul Munawarrah from the Wahhabi Khawarij and in the following year 1813 Makkah tul Mukarramah was liberated. The Battle of ad-Dir’iyah In 1818, a Sunni Ottoman/Egyptian army led by Ibrahim Pasha (Muhammad Ali’s son) completely destroyed Abdullah bin Sauds forces and took their capital, Dir’iyah in Najd. Abdullah bin Saud was captured along with two of his Wahhabi supporters. They were brought to Istanbul after being led, in chains, through the principal streets, they were taken to prison. The following morning on 17th December 1818, Abdullah bin Saud the last ruler of the first Saudi Wahhabi state established by the Al Sauds who rule the modern state of Saudi Arabia and his Imam were brought before the Sultan and publically b*headed for their crimes against the Blessed Cities and Mosques.
