Thanks for the tips on PH levels! This channel has been a game changer for my lawn. I was using a commercial company before I found this and the program was not personalized enough. Just finished my PGF Complete fall stacking last week. Got a bag of Super Juice to get me through the rest of fall.

Doc I'm so glad to see someone using a coarse lime. Is that a coated dolomite? Also, in the spring up here in BC I like to use a very coarse slow-dissolving dolomite so it lasts all summer. And I usually apply it at double rate. Plenty of evergreen needles. But I seem to get the best effect when I mix it up in a wheelbarrow with some 1-0-0 moss killer containing iron sulphate and magnesium carbonate. I usually toss in some zinc sulphate powder and a half-cup of of 20-mule-team borax. A couple weeks later I may toss on some slow-release high nitrogen fertilizer and some seaweed fertilizer too. But I've got to try your stuff some day. I find the lime mixture as been a necessity cuz of all the trees and moss.

Hello Doc. Thanks for all of the great videos and information. I tried PGF complete recently on my Bermuda lawn. It’s unbelievable the growth and color I am getting from this product. I’ve tried just about every other fertilizer and nothing compares to PGF. It’s a litter pricey but well worth the expense. I also like the Super Juice product but I don’t like the application method with the spray bottles. I would like to apply it with a pull behind 16 gallon sprayer. My yards a little over an acre. What would be the math to allow me to do this with the pull behind sprayer? Thanks and keep the great information coming!

Do a dry run and see how much sq footage a tank covers. So if a 20 gallon tank covers the acre, add 1/4 to 1/2 the bag in the tank. (Premix and screen before adding)

Thanks for the reminder on lime!! Question about the Humic DG would you consider it a good idea to put out some lager quantities over the fall/winter to help prepare this southern clay for next growing season? I have recently started the PGF and it’s working great , but I wonder if it would be beneficial to add straight Humic over this period. Thanks!!

Hey doc, I have a video request in regards to watering the lawn in the fall and when to stop. Temps in western Oklahoma has been like Georgia for the most part. We’ve had in the past week two cold fronts move through that temps have it a low of the 40’s then bounced back to 70 and 80 degree weather. The current 7 day shows a lot of the same patterns. Woke up and left for work this am at 42 degrees and we have highs in the 60’s-80’s for the week? Am I at a point where I can slow down irrigation or just stop completely? Thanks.

I live in SC and put powdered lime down without testing my soil. I did this because I know I have clay in my soil so I figured I would put down about 20 pounds in a 2000 sq foot area. Well my grass is turning yellow! I wonder why doc says it takes so much but I only used a quarter of what he said and it made my grass yellow. Maybe because its powdered lime or I didnt spread it good enough. Also my PH could've been good already when I added the lime but how with hard clay dirt?

Short term and long term PH. Short term in the upper root zone, long term is the 3-4" down which we do in the late winter via soil test. That small amount of lime will only impact 1-2 inches. Takes MONTHS to work down lower.
