It's lawn mower racing at its finest when the drivers of New Hampshire's SLMRA hit the ice for some high-octane action. See who captures Week 3 honors in what was a very competitive and crazy race. Lawn mower racing content includes driver interviews, analysis, and event footage. Brilliant editing! I think they should be running slicks with no cleats or screws in them. We used to race go carts on a frozen lake and that ice was as smooth as a hockey rink and stayed that way race after race. No, you could not floor it off the line or the tires would just spin, it took finesse on the throttle and smoothness in the slides in the turns. If someone bumped you in a turn you went sliding off into oblivion. It was great. They guys look like they are having a lot of fun and that is great too.

why do people always put a go kart axle in the mower instead of the transmission i like the factory setup better i would never put go kart axles and low suspension on mine

The factory rear end can't handle the speed and power. These are barely a lawn mower.

I would bet a little money that the older Cub cadet read ends would holdup . I don't know what read ends John Deere used to use

Beyond not cutting grass, how are they not lawn mowers? You take the blade deck off (deck is designed to do that), do a few modifications, and get out to have a little fun. Bet most of them, with the blade deck put back on, could still cut grass.
Fast forward to 4:44 to escape the ESPN bull crap.
