Season 1, Episode 2. A "self-defense" subway shooting prompts legal chaos when questions arise about who the real victim is.

It's great seeing these two detectives at different times lose their temper with inconsiderate people.
One of the things I loved about the first series is the late 80s music and fashions:).

Gotta love the good cop bad cop routine!
I love the dynamic of them. Logan will learn from Greevey and he'll end up being his partner's last partner. I'd be honoured
I like Greevy and Logan together. They always clash with their ideologies and perspective in this case (also about abortion, and homosexuality, so far what i've seen). It's good to see both sides

You know this old! Public Telephones!🧐
The music at the beginning had me 😂😂😂😂😂
This was only the second episode of the entire series. These episodes were raw and gritty, and I preferred them that way to the spit shine and polish they became in later years. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the series, and I spent all 20 years enjoying it. It's just that the quaLity of the time was better, in my opinion. The television detective world of 1990 showed the real raw side of the times. And Greevy was thinner 😁 Even the music was gritty.

To be fair, the show basically shows the change in the city over the course of its run! The NYC of the 80s and 90s was a lot grittier than what it became during the ‘00s and decades after

Part of it was that 'straight from the headlines' formula (which focused on realistic crimes) became harder to write new crime scenarios, so to keep things 'interesting', they had to push up the bizarro factor. The crimes got weirder and more sensationalistic. They also, over time, developed a bad case of "Debate & Switch"--setting up some sort of moral or ethical conflict through two-thirds of the episode, only to have some revelation make the whole thing moot in the final act.
3:38 - The chief's reaction is priceless here. :)
This opening music is crazy catchy!

That 80's cop music. You gotta love it.
"Gunwoman. … gun*person*." Did you just assume her species? Also, I love how Greevey's looking at Logan ranting and raving at the poor operator. Especially when his eyes follow Logan's hand, like, "God, I hope he doesn't reach for his gun and put a few holes into that phone."
