Lava Rock Aromatherapy Bracelet DIY

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

DIY your own aromatherapy bracelet! Porous lava rock beads absorb essential oils and slowly release the scent over the next several days. Make and wear your favorite oil or blend!
Learn how to make an adjustable natural stone bracelet with gemstone accents. Make a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one, especially if they enjoy essential oils. Great homemade Christmas, birthday or holiday present.
Items used in this video with links for purchase:

    Yes, I was only able to find them in large quantities too. I used several with my class, but I just checked and I actually have a handful of these left! I listed them as singles on eBay for $2.00 each plus whatever first class shipping is to your destination. www.ebay.com/itm/275885665746

    How do you secure the ends if you're using leather?

  • @TwineAndLeaf

    @TwineAndLeaf

    2 жыл бұрын

    Chantel Nichols 1 second ago I have not used leather For this style of bracelet. I did try using a waxed cotton thread, but the cotton did not work very well at all and the weave ends up eventually unraveling. If your leather is thin, you may be able to tie a small knot, but leather may not be the best for this application. The waxed polyester was definitely my favorite string because the knots and weaves stay secure.

    You mean four square knots? That may work. A few more will make it more secure though.

    It will not work on leather. It basically melts the polyester, which is a type of plastic.

    I use a simple saying to remember square knots: right over left, then left over right. (Or vice versa). Just alternate.

    How to adjusting this on wrist without help? 😢

  • @TwineAndLeaf

    @TwineAndLeaf

    4 ай бұрын

    You can adjust it one handed but it takes a little practice. I pinch one side between my last two fingers and press against my wrist and use my thumb and forefinger to pull the other side. But I have to say most people probably use their teeth!

    Anyone interested in doing this needs to know that when you purchase lava beads, they have a wax coating on them from the manufacturer. The lava beads need to be put in boiling water to remove the wax and then dried thoroughly. I had to do the rinsing three times to get the wax off!
