    Its amazing to see that you are very responsive to the comments. Really impressive One silly question, does it still produce sound like a normal acoustic guitar IF its battery is dead. I mean can you play the guitar even it its not charged? Thanks alot !

    Thank you for the comment. Yes, the Lava Me 3 plays like an acoustic guitar even without any of the effects on. However, since it is carbon fiber the sound is not as good as a higher quality guitar. But for my purposes, and most others, it’s just fine.

    Hello friend....thanks for review and really enjoyed your video. My only concern at this point is the size of the guitar as the new Lava 3 me comes in both 36 inch and 38 inch size. Can you or anyone of your subscribers tell me if they find the 36 inch size guitar a tad too small to play? I am an experienced guitarist looking to take my playing to next level and will be spending many hours outside practicing modes, scales, arpegios etc. Just concerned that 36 inch may be a tad too small as I want to be able to transfer my new skills to a full size axe. . Love to hear from you or anyone who uses either size. Thanks so much.

    Hello, Thank you for the comment. I think the LAVA ME 3 is the PERFECT guitar for playing outside because it has everything you need built into it. That being said, the 36" is definitely smaller than a traditional guitar. Personally I find it more comfortable, because I'm a smaller guy. However if you are looking for something that will translate back to a regular guitar, I'd probably go with the 38"

    Just bought my Lava Me 3. Delivery time was great. I love the sound quality. It worked for a little bit, then just like what you showed the tuner does not work. Later everything did not work at all. I tried plugging it in, you can hear a lot of buzzing sound. Very annoying. I am going to return this. Too bad it sound very nice unplugged even with out the electronics on. Not worth the price.

    Sorry you are having the same problem as I had. It seems like the effects start working when I go to loop mode and turn on a rhythm…after that every works fine. The last couple of times I turned mine on it worked fine from the start…who knows what’s going on…🤷🏻‍♂️

    Hey Todd. How is the action/string height “out of the box”? Does it need a “setup” before comfortably playing? Thank you for the review. Eric

  • @ToddBickling

    @ToddBickling

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey Eric, Thanks for the question. Action and setup can be very subjective, so I can only answer it from my perspective. However, I'll say this...I have small fingers and tend to prefer the strings closer to the fretboard (low string height). For me the string height is perfect. I can even hit them with a lot of force and they don't vibrate off the frets. If I were to set up the strings myself, I would do it exactly like they are set up out of the box. Hope that helps.

  • @skip4618

    @skip4618

    i don’t know why this is such a hard question…. what you like is subjective… an accurately and properly measured the string height at the 12th fret is very objective … and any guitarist will then be able to make an objective assessment

    How is the quality of music you recorded playing and playing back through the guitar ? Does it sound realistic, distorted, lack stereo-depth? Also to add, your guitar playing is pretty good. I'm still learning

  • @ToddBickling

    Thank you for the comment and the compliment. In my opinion the sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small amp inside the guitar. Of course it's not as good as using a real amp, but you can always plug it in to a real amp for higher quality sound. but for a guitar that you can take pretty much anywhere and play with rhythm and effects...it's really pretty good.

    @@ToddBickling awesome! Thanks! One more question, how many tracks can you record on the looper? The lavamusic page originally said 3. The new blue lava guitar can do 4 and I'm wondering if it's just a software update thing.

  • @ToddBickling

    @ToddBickling

    @@RayJuang technically it is 4, but one of the loops is the rhythm that you choose…so it would be rhythms, plus three loops on top of it…then just do your solo or improvise on top of that…

    Hi Alastair, Thanks for the question. TBH, I do not store any music online. I'm not very good at guitar, so I'm kind of embarrassed to do so in case anyone else hears it ;) ...that being said, I have not been charged anything for the Lava App on my phone, nor do I see anywhere where there is a charge. I think they're trying to make the app kind of like a musical Facebook or Twitter where people can share their grooves...Hope that helps

    HI Kaweli, Yes you can use the effects without the Wifi on. I imagine the wifi is just for software updates and/or for uploading your loops to the app. (they have cloud storage for your music). I could Imagine myself playing this outside a lot and using the effects.

    Do the sounds coming from the inside sound like a tin can? I mean, I am looking for rich sound, I can create my own loops, and while this may be fun to play with, i don't want an instrument that sounds like a tin can when I play it or when the loops are running

  • @ToddBickling

    It’s a tiny hole in a carbon fiber guitar, so the sound is limited. However the guitar can be plugged in so you can make it sound how you want with an amp. There a literally no other guitars that you can play around a campfire that can do this…and that’s kind of the point. If you want the best sounding loops, buy the best looping equipment.
