Oh my gosh!! Is it just me but with this new era of lauv i’m hearing also an added texture on his voice. Can’t seem to explain although strangely noticeable. For me lauv, you will remain as to what i’ve always known you for regardless of representation. What matters the most is where you feel comfortable and ‘more you’. I really felt that song deep in my bones. It's probably one of the most emotional songs you've ever put out and that's saying something since a lot of your songs are emotional but this one especially hit me the deepest in my core especially because of the subject matter. I'm still very much closeted and I'd like to be more free to openly express myself and I don't know how to do that so seeing others do it makes me want to be more free and more expressive with myself. It's gonna take a lot for me to be open because I was so used of bottling my feelings on the inside and I still very much do it even to this day but except that I still write about how I feel so I don't keep everything on the inside but damn... it's the most hardest thing ever to just accept yourself and be okay with who you are fully so I really appreciate people who live in their truth.
