This song is like you found someone lovely, someone good, but you know deep down, you have to let go. It was not his or her fault, but you are not just okay. You cannot do it. Their presence is not enough to make you feel better. You know that holding on will make things harder. You tried, but everything is falling apart. You want to be good for the person, but you're just so broken. It's so heartbreaking, but it has to happen. For people to grow.

I can't explain it, but this is one of the most emotionally driven songs I've ever heard. I've been listening to it for four years, and it just gets more personal every time, and I feel it stronger in my chest that this song just speaks to me on a level that no other song ever has. It's raw emotion in it's truest form, and that's honestly what I think music truly strives to be. Just heard it live in concert last night, and it just absorbed me. If there's anything I hope to achieve in life it's creating music with my whole soul and being behind it, and making someone feel the way about my music that Lauv's music does for so many. There's so much more to say, but there aren't quite words that make it there. If you love the song, you know the feeling. That's all.

I met him when I was 18, and he was my all and more. It was cause of this song that I've accepted us - what we had and what we lost. Thanks for being the oxygen to my lungs, but I can finally breathe on my own.

we were both struggling when our paths crossed, he helped me with some things that i couldn't do and i did my best to do the same. we saw each other in many different ways, he was the one who made me smile and laugh so much in just one day. he made me bring out the best in me. but our life isn't always sunshines and rainbows. i liked him and he liked me back but i didn't know what to do, i'm still learning how to love myself, i'm still starting to rise back up again, i couldn't tarnish his image of me. i thought that i might become a burden to him too, being friends is enough, that's what i thought. i always ask him how's his life going but he'll just smile and will say, everything's good. how can he smile like that, like he's not feeling any pain? i know he's having trouble with his family, he's going through so much but he'll never tell me what's up. until one day he surprisingly backed hugged me, and after that he never talked to me again, sure he'd smile to me but his eyes has no tint of happiness. we ignored each other like strangers. thank you for being a lesson and a part of my journey, and sorry, i just can't bear to see you hurting because of me. i don't want you to think you're not enough for me. i don't want to fail, because you deserve someone better. i never got to confess to you and i think i'm never going to, but i hope you know i'll always cherish our memories together. though we didn't reached the destination we wanted, at least we enjoyed our journey together. that was long but i've been keeping this in my heart & mind lately, finally had the guts to comment this.

I found someone, i must say my first love. We talked everyday, already been 1 year and some months. We both confess to each other in December but we decided to stay friends as we know because of some differences, we don't have a chance that we will be together till after. It hurts so bad cause we didn't even get a chance and we have to let go. It's so hard to make myself to stop loving him as whenever i see him, my heart beats faster and i have a huge smile appeared in my face without me knowing. I never will be able to feel his love and warmth but i hope you will get someone better who you can be with and treat you better

It is hard to find the purpose of life. The deeper you observe, you really don't see any purpose. You just don't. Even if you do, it roots from your will to live. Is your will to live the real purpose of life? You never asked to be born here anyways. Even if you are satisfied with life, is it everlasting? Joy comes and goes the next day. You were not born just to suffer. However, people live on because they are searching. They are searching for something they are missing. Something that may fix the imperfect life that was given to you. Why search when you are not sure if it even exists? Maybe it is the little aspects of happiness that briefly come to fuel your will to live. Maybe it gives you the false hope of finally reaching the turning point of life where everything seems perfect, but finally realizing your downfall is just by the corner, waiting to be unveiled. Maybe you are just aimlessly searching because you plainly do not want to die. You are living your life because you were placed here. Does that answer the purpose of life? No. Life is just oblivion. There are no clear answers. We are all just living, spending the life that was just given to us, taking it for granted or not, longing for happiness that may compensate for our insatisfactions. It is a cycle of fluctuations. But what is life when you do not even understand its purpose? What is the purpose for? Who is it for? And why?

This is song is a masterpiece for the sincerity in it. You can tell its his true feelings. I can relate so much to this. A year ago, I was going through a tough break up, it was sudden and it took me a year to get myself together, cried so many times in the bathroom and listen to this song while crying my heart out. Looking at my past and listening to this song again makes me realize how time can heal hurted feelings. Don't lose hope in yourself, soon you'll get better and you'll be really proud of yourself for getting out of that quick sand that was drowning you. Be nice to yourself.
