Yup this is her voice, i was there in that concert right on the front row, it was something i never felt before in my life, her voice is beyond powerful, i am not a religious man, but if i lived in the past i would totally believed that she transfers the voice of gods. The lyrics are not human, they are vocalizations actually, it suppose to be the language of the dessert, the language of the people of the planet Arrakis, it is a call to arms, to a holy war by a priestess of Arrakis. She sings away from the microphone because she will melt it if she sings directly to it with this power. If you want to see a different side of her that will still impress you then check out her duet with Brandon Stone singing "The day you...", you will be surprised in a different way there, i will not spoil you.

Yes, "The Day You" is her best, so far but I prefer her solo version from last year.

I would not say that it is her best, it is incredible but different, that is why i recommend it to people, they get to see multiple facets of her talent. Personally i prefer "Baikal" from her originals that came out last year but "The day you..." is also up there, this is Diana after all.

She outperformed the actual movie soundtrack live... reflect on that madness. She's just unique, I don't think there's much point in trying to understand it other than that, she was gifted with unique vocal and emotive qualities, because it's not just the polyphonie, it's the way it seems tuned to people's nervous systems. I have heard other polyphonic singing but it does not straighten my spine the way Diana can. At least now we know what planet she's from ;)

Согласен, "танец змеи" в питерской версии удался лучше. В остальном этот (московский) вариант мне нравится больше. Крупный план в конце первой части, выразительный макияж и особенно суперграциозное движение в середине третьей части, когда широко распахнутые руки быстро, но мягко обвивают стойку микрофона.

She and her vocal coach had to come up with a revised breath control technique to enable her to have enough air for the long passages followed by drawn out notes with little or no time to snatch a breath. Something about reducing her normal exhalation rate but still singing powerfully.

It's hard to imagine anyone besides Diana Ankudinova being able to do what she does in this performance. There is a language here, but it is derived from the Arthur C. Clark novels of Dune. And her interpretation is amazing in both sound and emotion. Even her timing is unique and bold. Sheesh, I just can't say enough about this music. Zimmer calls it "Paul's Song." He won an Oscar for his music for Dune. 👍Thanks for your usual excellent reaction. 👍
