3:10 "kh" is usually pronounced like "ch" in "Loch Ness" or "J" in "Juan". Same for "Kharkiv" or "Khrushchev".

Two things: One, Coyotes are absolutely ridiculous. They are so abundant in my area that the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife actually offers bounties on them from time to time. Two, 8:05, I hate the criticism that Jefferson get from a lot of people who don't actually study history beyond what the Highschool textbook says, which have been proven on multiple occasions to be flawed, especially in the last 20 years. Jefferson was anti slavery and was one of the first white colonials to view Africans as equals. When he wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence he included a paragraph that would have abolished slavery and granted slaves in the colonies equal rights. A majority of the farming heavy colonies refused to join the union if slavery was abolished and after much pressure from his peers and at least one fist fight he was forced to omit it from the final draft. During his term president however he signed the Act Prohibiting the Importation of Slaves in 1807, making the US one of the first countries in the world to stop dealing in the international slave trade. This ended up making him extremely unpopular among the southern colonies and unfortunately ended up being the only law regarding slavery he was able to push through. In fact he was so opposed to slavery that most of the anti slavery and pro abolitionist speeches made by Lincoln during the Civil War directly quoted Jefferson. The biggest argument I get when I tell people this is "Well he owned 200 slaves, so obviously you are wrong." to which I say Bullshit. Jefferson was one of the richest men in America at the time, and black people weren't allowed to be free yet. Because of this he would go to every slave auction in his area and buy all of them so that cruel slavers couldn't exploit them. He then gave them decent clothes, food, and an education. This unfortunately turned out to be an issue later because he blew all of his money doing this and died before slavery was abolished. Because his estate technically owned the slaves and he was in debt, the slaves were seized as property and sold again, however the silver lining here is that because he gave them a better education they were considered more valuable and were treated significantly better and many were given jobs that were typically not given to slaves due to a lack of education. Now, obviously, I realize that this was a joke for the sake of the video. However as someone who is appalled by the way US history is being made up in schools to make people who should be viewed as hero's look like evil villain's, I will take any opportunity I can get to teach people the truth.

Selective history, selective science, selective facts. This country is a mess.
