It’s a cover song. They only learned it at soundcheck - they’ve been making a huge effort to perform a cover specific to each town they go to

@@EpicLiveMusic i’m very familiar with what song it is. cover C’est Bon or something you know. covers are meant to be done for songs you know and love and can put your own feel/emotion into. i ain’t hating on Chvrches, they make great music. letdown by the whole idea of covering a song I MYSELF know and love and reading the lyrics from a sheet of paper.

@@lordluckylucan so you’re suggesting they learn every cover they do for each town they go to by heart? Even though they only have the time at soundcheck to do so? Also surely it’s better for her to have the lyrics to check she doesn’t make a mistake? The importance is the performance. And she performs amazingly

@@EpicLiveMusic i ain’t going back and forth with you, we’ll agree to disagree. you’re the one talking about a song for each town and learning it at soundcheck and some nonsense about corners now idk wtf. she got a few of the lyrics wrong because it’s not word for word. if you know the song phonetically you are able to better PERFORM it because you know the ins and outs of what the original singer was trying to lay down/annunciate. ✌🏽

@@lordluckylucan what do you mean nonsense? That’s literally what they’ve been doing: choosing and learning a new song at soundcheck in each city. She said herself that the original intention was to sing a song in French but her French isn’t good enough so they chose a song with Paris in the title. So at soundcheck the band had to learn the song and this is the only time they’ll perform it, so it makes perfect sense for her to look at the lyrics
