Lorelai never laughs at her own jokes though, which is a pretty big difference. Lauren is also much more fidgety and nervous than Lorelai would ever be.

@@reneeg4817 Yeah there are similarities but I definitely don't think "this is exactly what Lorelai would be like on a talk show". That undermines how much effort Lauren put into portraying Lorelai as the demeanor and mannerisms are different. Lorelai is much more sarcastic too.

I was so surprised by how little she’s aged and then I realized this is from 13 years ago. She’s still barely aged in 2021 though

The monkey lamp came from when Emily can to Lorelei‘s house, to get stuff for Richards mom coming back to town and she wondered where the candles were and Lorelai said that she traded the candles for the monkey lamp.

No, it was the night of Rory's dance, when Lorelai hurt her back so Emily stayed with her. But yes, Lorelai exchanged the candlesticks (Emily's gift) for the monkey lamp.

Richards mother was the poodle statutes. When Emily had to get all the gifts from Richards mother out before her surprise visit. Emily gave crystal candles to Lorelai for a holiday. And Lorelai being lorelai traded it for the purple monkey lamp.

I love her and her character. I did notice that she fidgets a lot and kept scratching and messing with her hair like she was anxious. My son has severe ADHD and does this a lot, specially when talking to someone

I used to Google this too if Lorelai was adhd coded in the show bc I also have adhd and she seems so like me and other people I know who have adhd. But unclear according to the internet. To be fair they shoot the episode and move on to the next. They don't sit and binge their own shows and know everything they've done by heart. I can totally understand why she doesn't remember everything she said on a show she was on over 20 years ago.

Conan really proved how brilliant he is because she was all over the place and he somehow made it look like it was on purpose and made it into comedy. Everything he said was hilarious.

It's the opposite. She is so talkative that this was easy mode for him. Having someone like Harrison Ford is much more difficult.

Is it just me or does just watching her smile and laugh lighten your whole day? 🥲😍 She just exudes joy and I love that! It’s so pure and refreshing to see how real she seems - she seems like she is just herself in her role in Gilmore Girls, after watching her talk outside the show for the first time in this video.

Regarding how much Lorelai talks it's absolutely understandable she doesn't remember much. It's amazing how she delivered all those Lines.

i still remember when lauren said in gilmore girls “oy with a poodles already” in season 2 i think it was. she’s like “oy is a funny word, not a lot of people say oy. poodles is also another funny word. in fact it could even be a new saying, OY WITH THE POODLES ALREADY” and i remember emily (lorelies mom) in the back saying “lorelei stop”😂

She is so crazy and natural, laughing at her own jokes I love her

GG was one of those afternoon shows I happened to catch on E4 in the UK about 10 + years ago, it was played weekdays so entire seasons were over within weeks. I caught it midway through season 3 or 4 from memory. Great show.

That doesn't have anything to do with how much coffee she drinks in real life. That's just how it's always done.
