Lauren Flax is a Detroit native and long time Brooklyn resident who has been performing internationally for many years in a variety of projects and genres.
She is known as a versatile and unique artist, an in-demand DJ and a producer with an extensive discography of original tracks, collaborations and remixes, including work with a long list of world class talent such as Grammy nominated artist @Siamusic, @LittleBootsMusic and @TrickyOfficial. She has toured worldwide as a member of the successful trip-hop project CREEP and can currently be found giving life to hedonistic dance floors at her many DJ gigs, most recently at @NowadaysNYC & @Elsewherespace in Brooklyn and Panorama Bar and @Whole.Festival in Germany.
The past year has seen Lauren busy in her home studio, refining her analog hardware live set and working on her solo productions. In recently times, she released Dance Trax Vol. 16, a 5 track EP of acid-tinged jack tracks on DJ Haus’ Unknown To The Unknown label, which DJ Mag lauded as “all killer, no filler” and contributed standout tracks to a number of dance music compilations, including a collaboration with Tigga Calore on Allergy Season’s Physically Sick 2.
Lauren shows no sign of slowing down in with EPs released on @theBunkerNY and @2MRrecords and upcoming collaborations with @TheJuanMaclean & @Chambray_ amongst others. We’re honored to have @laurenflax ring in the new year 🎉💚🎉

Community Bread is the first queer-owned livestream and resource platform connecting audiences around the world with marginalized DJs, performers, artists so they can easily receive donations to offset economic hardship during this global pandemic. We offer resources on how to donate, action and support the Black Lives Matter movement as well as info on how to apply for government grants and emergency funding for artists. The website also features a schedule of queer-focused digital events and a global directory of collectives that have been shaping their local queer communities.
Roughly once a month, CB curates an audio / visual stream which involves DJs, performances and interviews from marginalized artists in different scenes, communities and cultures. Focusing on supporting these creatives along with an LGBTQ+ aligned organization, we have collectively raised over $10,000 over 4 streams, all of which was split between the artists and the charities such as The Trans Women of Color Collective, G.L.I.T.S., & ORAM.
