You should get "DeepMe" she is miles above the competition in this genre. I think this melodic techno, Progressive will become the focal point of Luminosity in future years & replace trance which has become lost in the past.

When the whole world jumped on the trance sound in the early 00's because of its 90's global stardom , many new genres emerged based off around the trance sound and with producers turning previous genres too trance sounding also so that the EDM sphere became over saturated with trance sounding music and thus people either jump ship to the new shiny genres or the old school trance sound was rarely made anymore trying to keep up with the new ever changing sounds I think there is enough want for the old school sound to come back and revive the trance genre again , it just needs the producers and dj's to focus on that sound only and stop intertwining all the new current sub genres

I think trance needs to evolve IMO, it has become a bit stale & predictive (melodic) euphoric). Is this because 90%+ is written on computer software? Notice Nifra, put a few of these melodic techno tracks in her set (they had been slightly remixed) If you listen to people like Danny Grunow & DJ Kuno, the trance scene is pretty strong, I personally like the tech trance sounds, I think this is where the genre evolves fastest & there are plenty of old school samples mixed in. I think this year's Luminosity on the main stage at least shows there is hope, getting away from the commercial stuff to the harder sounds.

@@laurarojas8490 Funny you mention Nifra because she is my favourite modern trance dj reason being is she is a Hard trance dj which is not as popular as it was in the 90's and the melodic techno samples that she plays is what late 90's hard trance sounded like , alot of people comment that Nifra plays Techno instead of trance forgetting that Hard trance even exists and she is having to constantly correct them otherwise Progressive trance and tech trance was around in the 90's just not as global as its becoming now so trance evolving no switching around yes , I agree with you about it becoming stale but i think this is because trance has lost its magic with what made it the world beater of the 90's and early 00's which was its out of this world dream like state and feeling which is missing in modern trance there's no soul in the tracks any more , I pine for the days of instrumental and early euphoric trance

Es war sehr gut besucht. Das Set war halt sehr früh am Tag, weil dieser progressive Style oft besser als Warmup passt.

It definitely has an older feel about it doesn´t it! Trance doesn´t have a younger following, trance is the remnants of the old rave scene of the 90´s

Definitely absolutely true for the Dutch and German part of the crowd. The only really younger people I see at trance events (and I have been to a lot in the last 10 years) are from the UK/Ireland, somehow there it is possible to attract a younger generation. But this maybe due to the style of UK trance which on average is harder/more banging than the more classical sound (on average) and for some that UK style might not be that close to trance anymore. But mostly the younger generation seems to love more EDM or harder styles if you look at photos/videos Tomorrowland, Defcon etc. Who knows why that is...
