"Trial by Fire," directed by Edward Zwick and written by Geoffrey Fletcher, is the true-life Texas story of the unlikely bond between Cameron Todd Willingham (Jack O'Connell), an imprisoned death row inmate, and Elizabeth Gilbert (Laura Dern), a mother of two from Houston (Laura Dern) who, though facing staggering odds, fights mightily for his freedom. During Cameron's 12 years on death row, Elizabeth uncovers questionable methods and illogical conclusions in his case, and battles with the state to expose suppressed evidence that could save him. Her efforts ultimately fail, and since Willingham's execution, the disturbing question remains: Did Texas execute an innocent man?

Jack is one of the most underrated actors. I wish he could get larger roles and more recognition.

He would be doing way more movies with bigger roles if hollywood along with everything else wasnt so politicized right now. I do like that jack picks his roles carefully though, for me there seems to be a very authentic path hes taking. I loved him in skins too but i saw him dive first, such a good 1st film.

This film was honestly one of the saddest things I've ever watched. Changed my whole perspective on the death penalty
Watched this couple of days ago... cried lots. Jack really is a phenomenal actor. He really shows such emotions in all his films I have watched. Plus he is just so adorable.
