NB1092 Isle of Islay is at sea! 🌊
On Saturday, March 16, 2024, NB1092 Isle of Islay was ceremonially launched at Cemre Shipyard.
As the first of four vessels ordered by CMAL, Isle of Islay will serve on the busiest route in the Clyde and Hebrides network, between Islay and Jura.
CMAL aims to increase cargo and vehicle capacity by 40% on the Islay and Jura route with the newly constructed ferries, aiming to significantly reduce carbon footprint through diesel/hybrid propulsion systems.

CMAL tarafından sipariş edilen 4 gemiden ilki olan Isle of Islay, Clyde ve Hebrides ağındaki en yoğun rota olan Islay ve Jura arasında hizmet verecek.
Yeni inşa edilecek feribotlarda Islay ve Jura hattında yük ve araç kapasitesini %40 artırmayı hedefleyen CMAL, dizel/hibrit tahrik sistemi sayesinde karbon ayak izini önemli ölçüde azaltmayı amaçlıyor.
Gemi tasarımı ve gelişimini kapsayan yenilikçi projelerde öncü olmaktan ve bizimle benzer vizyona sahip iş ortaklarımızla başarılı projelere imza atmaktan gurur duyuyoruz.
